The developers are aware of the issue, and aware that people are rightfully upset about it. I really fail to see how piling on additional vitriol and personal insults towards the developers is supposed to accomplish anything.

Sure I have called things done incompetent at times because it truly feels this way sometimes. But by all means will I treat a corporation with any degree of respect. A corporation is not a person. I will treat the people involved with respect, but not a faceless multi billion dollar corporation. Square as a whole will never be talked nice to it is not a person but a brand. Just as EA for me will never receive respect because it is not a person, it is a name for a business nothing more.
Will not threaten developers most random but when you at best fail to ignore zero and at the worst null entire database during maintenance I must question how you still have a job.
I am not sure average age of player base but most of us have RL job probably and we will often get unhappy, frustrated, angry costumer even if we do our best, sometimes turns out their complaint actually makes sense.
It is something bad when you do your job with love.. and a few costumer bother you with negativity (sometimes for very minor things) but it is what it is.
I am sure SE team mature enough to handle it as long as people keep it civil.
