I mean… 3 minutes should be more than enough if your static has organized a spreadsheet for loot distribution. A lot of the ones I’ve been in have done that, and it takes very little time to look at what drops and then distribute based on a pre-determined loot priority. The latter of which is made well in advance, so it eliminates the talking time of sitting there asking everyone “what’s in your BiS” “do you need the head piece” “what about the Twine”.
My guess is that all the timers share programming (or at the very least are copy-pasted), so if they change one, they’ll likely just copy-paste it to everything else. There are things you can do in statics with regards to loot, so I don’t think your defense is a strong enough reasoning against it. And the PUG scene wouldn’t matter since most people just Need everything regardless.
