How can SE do this to us? (DRK complaint)

I keep hearing this, but no one ever gives a synopsis or even a summary of what JP players are saying about Dark Knight, and it’s frustrating because I genuinely want to know what is being said.

Can you provide a rundown of what they are saying and how many threads/responses there are? As someone who Loves Dark Knight and wants to see the Job fixed, I’d really love to know what they are saying in the hopes that maybe, as a collective, we’ll be heard.

We had to Stack multiple cooldowns, use Blood Price, pray that noone stuns the mobs and spam the hell out of Dark Arts and Abyssal Drain! Also the Cooldown for that was at least 60 seconds because you had to stack multiple cooldowns for it.

Even if they nerf WAR's Self-Heal he still will have it and it will still be super strong.
Just give us Abyssal Drain as an GCD back and make it cost 50 Bloog Gauge.

How can SE do this to us?

I believe that this was straight up 100% not tested at all.

So, thoughts?

By all means, post a threads. Ut copy and past the opener into the DRK mega thread so SQEX can’t get away with saying: we only look at the larger threads and it wasn’t there...

I won't cap though sin, ever since you made the dark knight mega thread, you basically gave out a lot of hope to a lot of DRK mains, and making their opinions and expression towards the class to be heard in one thread, but these responses you're giving me sounding like you're giving up for real.

To me, you feel like the lvl 70 quest for DRK rn. A soul crystal that snap into two pieces.

I personaly use google translate to check the forums out, it's not perfect but works.
You'll see they are mostly in favor of DRK changes too especially with their sustain compared to the other tanks.

That being said, they are way more civilized with their discussion you see less rage and screams for nerfs because JP is usually not in favor of weakening/nerfing others because that does not fix the root of the issue.

Thank you for that, I appreciate having something to go through and read.

I too, am of the mindset that the other tanks shouldn’t be nerfed. Rather, I want to see Dark Knight brought into Parity alongside them, and to have it’s identity firmly established and be distinctly separate from the other Tanks, and have a unique identity all it’s own like back in Heavensward.

I'm not giving up. The problem is these developers just don't care.

They were given endless amounts of feedback and yet even the worst incarnation - 5.0, wasn't enough for them to realize how much they screwed up.

We're not to blame. It's them. We put food on these developers table and we're expected to eat this slob for years? They can't even be bothered to interact with their customers unless it's convenient for them.
They keep disrespecting tanks and healers continously by merging us into DPS's. Ask for more and their drones will come to the defense calling you all kinds of shenanigans or entitled. It's exhausting.

So in spite of all of that, most of us kept making daily posts or tried to as much as possible; not enough for them. The frustration we accumulated for 2 years being the worst in ShB; it simply wasn't enough. In fact, when you have streamers pointing out the most obvious flaws and they still continue down this road, then what hope is there. They ignore us; mock us (enhanced unmend), and refuse to listen.

These days I'm playing Paladin, my journey as a Dark Knight has come to an end. Yet still I encourage you guys to do the bidding for us that moved on. It's your future so to speak. I for one had enough.

I agree everything on what you said, and I don't blame you one bit for it. I myself, pulled a Cecil and drop my great sword to become a PLD. Was a true DRK main since the Stormblood days... well, I at least got a little taste of what DRK was before its great HW era became to an end. And now, EW just killed it for me.

I also want people to keep making threads or post it in the mega thread as well to let the devs know...

This is basically my biggest gripe about tank self sustain. They literally took it away in Shadowbringers because Tanks were just crushing it on self healing.

Then they gave it back for. . . reasons?

They didn't tho. Nescent Flash was a thing in ShB too and basicly did what it does now. WAR didn't suddenly get Bloodwhetting and became sustainable in Endwalker, we had that throughout the whole Expansion of ShB.
Thats why it's so weird why it suddenly became an issue. didn't people know about that skill?! It was there all the time.

Yet still WAR was the least picked tank in ShB because what matters in the end is damage and the damage difference right now between the tanks is bigger than ever, we're talking 10% from DRK to PLD.
#1 and #2 are DRK and GNB.
