Story-skip potion for endwalker

are you deliberately not trying to understand the point i made in the OP? I loved all of the ff14s story, until endwalker. these forced quetss and solo instances are TOO much. its such a bad quest design, id rather skip it and forgo the sotry so I can finally play my own char instead of the next solo instance with a character i dont care about or which has ONE SINGLE BUTTON TO PRESS.

its hell, literal hell.

From like, day one.

I'm happy enough for the SHB skip. I've played the whole msq multiple times, and tho the complaints of ARR drag-on were serious, ShB for me is the most drag-on experience of it all. It's a popular story, but didn't hit for me, remotely, didn't care for it etc. EW so far (I haven't gotten far in) is way better. Loved how beautiful Sharlayan is, like, without the out of this world tinge to it, just genuinely a beautiful place, beautiful music.. Liked the banter with the npc's so far. Not like enamoured with how cutting edge it is or whatever, but just pleasant to read it. Anyhow, if I play through EW a few times, I'd probably seriously get a story skip for it, not because of any drag-on issue I've had with it thus far.

I have been enjoying the story and quests a lot personally, not against a potion on mogstation for those who just cba or want to catch an alt up for raiding though.

I'll never understand why some people are so against the MSQ being optional. If you wanna do the MSQ, do it, what would it take away from you if people had a choice?

Exactly this, if you make it expensiv enough so that only people who really want this buy it, it wouldn't even affect the dungeon quest. Sooner or later we are all finish with the story and can do all the other stuff that we really enjoy ingame. The story is just an introduction into the expansion anyway and keeps you only busy for about an weekend. How would it affect you guys if someone skipped this weekend and instantly starts playing the new End Content on their alt?

It would change the entire game.

If they did that, then the devs would have to start designing the game without the MSQ as a factor. That's the entire point of this game. If it's like a skip after a one time play through, then I could see that being cool. If it's to skip the MSQ entirely, then peeps are playing the wrong game.

I mean. You're only shooting yourself in the foot if you want to skip the core game.

I'm all for it if that's what people want. :thumbs up: Square Enix have already set a precedent for this so I don't see what the issue is.

Wouldn't implement it right at the start of the expansion though.
