The biggest risk is a house if you have one. Otherwise? The Team has said that they don't want to make it feel like you HAVE to log in every day, but log in when you want to. This is...actually about normal for Early Access Weekend. Stormblood...had us all sorts of locked behind instance server single duties that hardly anyone could get through the entire early access. To be honest, it will calm down in about two weeks. it's a pain right now, but...give it time and relax. this is me as a person that's been playing since ARR.
It sucks that we may be losing someone, but at the same time, you need to do you. i live in a house with two other players. i'm the only one that's been able to get through the MSQ. About 4pm EST is when the heavy queue starts, that's not an excuse. it really isn't, it's just an observation.
Well while people stuck in queue I go to American server when EU is peak 6k + , USA is 44 people in queue of course you have to start from scratch,I do not enjoy what i have invested time into a game to start from zero. But instead of been stuck in queue I prefer this option ^^
If you're asking if it's going to affect your queue times while you've still got time paid for then No I don't think so. You've still paid time for the month, just because you don't have an active subscription doesn't mean you're automatically dropped down to free player status.
All cancelling sub will do is turn off renewal, OP. You'll still have same as now access until the sub renews. Unless you're talking about backcharging, then I don't know, that's generally frowned on.
It's in the service account status section, next to "next estimated date of billing"
This new UI is terrible but I guess at least cancel sub and cancel account aren't next to each other anymore? That's.... Something.
Thank you all for your responses, i do not have a house just a shabby apartment so no worries, and ill be back after things calm down enough to, well, be able to play (or as soon as i finish whatever i get hooked on meanwhile instead of q-ing all day). Win-win :D
Wow, i asked an innocent question and an attacker popped up real quick XD
I almost got WOW vibes from it XD
Please, just do not engage this person. Probably didnt even read what i wrote besides the title, or would see that im not blaming anyone or ignoring their efforts etc, but seeing the situation im choosing the solution that would make it easier for everyone involved, including myself doing more productive or fun things than waiting all day in q/keeping an eye on it.
I honestly can not find any reason why stepping back from an overcrowded place and do something else for a while would cause ANYONE harm. Except, i guess, that i didnt want to pay while i dont play...
Thank you all who interacted with this thread in a productive and helpful manner.
BUT in light of the new announcement and incredible gesture towards all players (the 7 days free playtime, which is a lot of money to them) i have decided that im going to pay my subscription even while im playing something else, be it weeks or months, waiting out the crowd, because it was proven once again that my support is well deserved. So yes, ill be paying for what i am not using for the time being in appreciation. (Hope this calms the blood of the ardent defenders too who see bad intent even where it isnt)
Indeed, I don`t think ppl realise if noone gives feedback they will preasume people are happy , even if you get few odd ones no one will care to fix issue, or blame it is ur internet connection or what ever. But, if more complains are posted they will feel pressure to come up with solucion fast, and they have lots to lose . This expansion is car crash with no seat belts on . :( I wonder if sytuation it is how it is and we wait for hours to log in no one says anything , pay money for subscription, and acutally we spend few hours in game per week if you lucky, if customers won`t complain they wont fix issue . We stuck in queue for hours , they getting paid. Of course there is difference between complain and pure drama queens, been reading through some funny shit while queue , soon might find suicidal threats cos they can`t play.
Im not sure what you mean by voting with your wallet but, you are welcome? XD
Those who decide its not worth paying for a game they cant play cuz all their available time is eaten up by the queue, and go inactive for the time DO make room for those who can and are willing to queue for hours and try again every time the server error boots them out XD
Good luck! See u when hype goes down!
After all, the easy come easy go arent those who are willing to wait out the spike and come back later, but those bunch who magically appeared for the new content. They will be off in no time, but the sleeping rocks reemerge as the tide is over. XD
Ah, i completely forgot to reply to you. I just wanted to ask you to please consider not attacking other people too who are stepping aside.
Yes, this is the best solution to this problem.
Leaving a crowd is literally the best solution to congestion problems. Always were, always will be. We, whos "immediate attention" CAN "escape the circumference of our computer chair" as you put it (unlike those who are so fixated they accept queuing all day), are the biggest help, you are welcome. It is beneficial for everyone, those whos queues get that shorter as well as the servers being less stressed, and so on.
The only thing i can assume that could possibly upset you in this win-win situation, is that i think people shouldnt pay for what they arent using, and apparently you do? You know, there are also people who only have a certain amount of time available to play, because they work or go to university etc (you know, life) and all of it is eaten up in the queue due to long numbers and errors. Should they keep paying while this situation lasts and they can barely ever play, if at all? I think not.
Do not worry, there are PLENTY of active people remaining to more than sustain the game. Then, after the buzz dies down, we are the ones coming back to play.
So please, stop harassing those who dont want to pay only to be stuck in queue all their available time and decide to go inactive while servers are overstressed. It only helps.
(oh and btw, i decided to do pay while not playing at the very least all this month, for THEIR kind gestures towards us)
