Why Do People Set Oddly High iLvls for Party Finder?

For a faster farm, i agree that it's too mutch sometimes but they like it that way you can't force them.

But i don't think getting the bozja relics as something easy, it takes a lot of time tbh. Savage fights are easier but not comparable to an extreme and it can be very long without a static.

Tbh i just don't join a party with ilvl 528 or more because of how mutch time i have to wait. Others groups with lower requirements fill up fast, clear in a decent time and don't get any problems.

Some of the EX fights have long and annoying animation locks that can happen due to low DPS.

Cinder drift has a few, so they probably just wanted to raise their chances of getting higher dps and quicker runs.

If I'm grinding old content I expect a certain level of dps output especially with how late in the expansion it is. It is extremely easy to get to ilvl 500 at the very least but I agree that asking for beyond that is a bit much, especially if its one of the earlier Shadowbringers extremes or something out of Stormblood or Heavensward.

At the moment, 520 is not too hard to get either. You just have to farm some allegory to upgrade it from 510.

I mean, you can get 520 rather easily with Allegory and crafted gear.

genuinely, getting a set of 520 armor is super easy and costs not too much in terms of allegories, or just do zadnor. even i510, is literally rained down upon you via mb.

But that Recruiter doesn't know that, and since the only way for them to easily determine player experience is their gear they set the iLvL limit to what they personally feel is comfortable.

At the end of the day though it's just personal preference, like you said yourself you can clear it multiple times with less gear but some people don't like to take chances with complete strangers.

Itemlevel doesn't represent player skill though.
It only represents how much time someone invested in grinding tomestones or doing daily roulettes for any particular class.

You can have a horrible healer in i520 gear that ruins a run or also a i510 healer that knows what they're doing (could be the other way around too - but its not the itemlevel number that matters).
Also note that on healer itemlevel makes a smaller difference than on dps, as there's generally more healing tools than necessary - and the difference in dps is smaller on a healer compared to a dps' gear.

But even on a dps, one that knows what they're doing will output more damage than someone clueless even if their gearlevel is a bit lower. Gearlevel indicates grinding and time investment, not expertise with a class.
