Been replaying MSQ via NG+ while also unticking the auto skip CS feature, so I’d like to add some thought into this matter.
While I understand why some would like cut some slack and give people the time to watch the cutscene leisurely, I don’t quite get it why do some other reserve this only for ‘new player/sprout/first timer.’ Does it mean these individuals are okay to just start the encounter right away if the said watcher isn’t new and/or enjoying the cutscene in any ways, thus potentially ruining a part of their enjoyment?
Such thought sprung up because I had some randoms across my first ShB NG+ endeavors who tried to bait me to skip the starting cutscene by commencing battle countdown; specifically from Titania & Hades trials. I’m aware that this isn’t the norm—arguably once in a blue moon. But I couldn’t help but just ”Why, though? :/“. I, too wanted to enjoy the NG+. I would go in with trust NPC if the game allowed me to but there is none for Trials.
EDIT:
- I don't mind if people early pull for me, regardless of what role I'm playing. It takes a skill to actually wipe an encounter that early, especially when the game has moved away from Toto-rak/Stone Vigil/MSR-styled cutscenes in later expansions.
- I, too had been guilty of early pulling a few times in the past: another reason for me to not get bothered by somebody early pulling for me.
