Let Dragoon keep their blue aura in Endwalker

I think having it active when you have at least one charge of your dragon gauge is a really solid way to go with it. Really hoping they find a way to keep the aura in.

Since the visual effect didn't appear in the job trailer, it seems clear that they don't plan on using it. But then again, that's why I'm complaining-- because I disagree with doing so. Whether or not we change the devs' minds all depends on how upset how many people are. It's not exactly looking hopeful at the moment :p

It's just such a distinct and interesting look, it'd be a shame to see it get scrapped. Or relegated to Shadowbringers DoH/DoL mainhands only.

This should be the best way if they want to bring it back. Make it another indicator that tells you that you can use a DRG ability of some sort. WAR does it's aura when you have 50 Beast Gauge ready for Fell Cleave/Inner Chaos or Decimate/Chaotic Cyclone, it would make sense to do something similar for other jobs as well.

There were many monks who wanted to keep our greased lightning buff aura, but that's gone forever. It's sad for those who wanted to keep it, but seems likely that's just how it's going to be.

I'm sure there were! I didn't mean to imply Monks didn't care about their aura (I hope it didn't come across that way).

And while I know it's unlikely that this thread achieves anything, I feel like I at least need to try.

No, you didn't at all. I was just using it as an example of a similar situation where the visual effect was simply deleted regardless of player requests. Maybe they'll listen, but I wouldn't have my hopes up.

Got it! And absolutely, I'm not expecting this thread to make the devs reverse their decision. But I did want to get my thoughts out

Having it tied to the gaze of the first brood/eye gauge seems to be the most popular choice by a lot!

Agreed.
If we can change the size of SMN's pet, we should be able to display the good ol' auras.
The technology is kinda there.
