There was a time when EU didn't have any servers, and the ones they moved to the EU were formerly NA servers.

Ultimately it depends on how many Oceanic players are on those servers, and how many will be moving.
If it's 50%, they could go either way.
Tonberry is by far the largest server in JP, with 77k (12k active) characters, with the next largest having just 50k (9k). It would not surprise me at all if it has a majority of Oceanic players.

Have a FC... so bah. All that work needs to be redone, including getting a new FC to level 6 so it can even buy land. Let alone anything like an expansion to subs, or FC spaceships...

And of course, what will the community be like on the server one does decide to put down roots on.

(Echidna would be a non-fitting name - not in Eorzia... and it's not an Aussie server per se, but Oceanic ANZ+more... I am hoping one is named Lahee, or Enkidu!)

Again you haven't explained why.
Echidna is the final boss of Void Ark. We have servers Diabolos, Atomos, and other minor bosses like Siren, Cerberus, etc.
Echidna's are also an animal native to Oceania.

I don't think they're going to move servers if the majority of players there are not playing from the Oceania area. SE did say that players from there are divided into many groups on many different servers so while they may be a large group when added all together, they may be small groups when looking the individual servers they separately play on.

With this in mind I would not be surprised if all the Oceania servers turn out to be completely new. It might be better to do that anyway because that would mean those new servers would have empty housing wards which would be more than enough to convince many to transfer without a second thought.

I do get the feeling it will be a big land rush!

This will be very good if Tonberry and Kujata gets moved to the new oceanic Data Center. It also makes sense because of what other posters have said. Having the most english speaking player population from Asia residing in these two worlds makes it a good jumpstarter for the new datacenter. :) Hope this happens. I just moved to Tonberry from Masamune because of this very reason (majority english players in Asia) lol
