Now this is a hot take from another post with nothing of value in regards to what OP posted.

The housing system as it is now is extremely frustrating to get intoespecially if you do it the way you're suppose to, without bots.
While I think relocation should stay, I think they could add something like a 30-day lockdown once a character/FC firsts buys a plot or relocates to a new one, to give those looking for a house a better chance.
If people new to housing have to be persistent, I don't think it's too much to ask relocators to be patient. >w>
Granted, I would much prefer a complete overhaul of the system to be more user-friendly but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.
As before, FCs must be exempt.
When you're designing a system, you can't think "how should people use this?" you must think "how will people use this?"
The thought is that any FC who buys a house or moves will just accept their lot in life for the month, every time, always. This is outside human nature. The truth is that FCs will occasionally, perhaps often - kick out all their offline members, demolish their house, relinquish their house, repurchase a new house, reinvite their members, rebuild every single FC private chamber, decorate every single private chamber, lose all workshop progress.
I think that burdening solo players with the 30 day cooldown could possibly considered, if only because a player doesn't lose workshop progress, money, or members if they have to [relinquish] -> [purchase] as a last ditch effort. But this cannot be considered for FCs.
The problem with an idea of making FC's exempt to any rule is already an issue.
Again it's been mentioned many times but the loophole that exists now because of "temporary" rules (as in one character can own a house and than every character can own an fc house). Trying to make rules to allow FC's to be exempt to any system allowing a housing restructuring system wouldn't do anything to fix the problem, sadly.
You do know they changed it so when FCs relocate, private chambers and workshops transfer with them, right? :B
Link to Lodestone entry where the quote is fromQuote:
* Private chambers and company workshops will be moved in their entirety and retain their state.
So, other then having to redecorate, which is something any player or FC relocating has to do, what is the problem?
My suggestion would also benefit FCs without houses or who haven't relocated get plots.
But... You're saying "Let's not let them use that system for a 30 day period"
So yes, I understand how relocation works. But you're suggesting it be turned off for 30 days. If I follow - that means relocation doesn't work for 30 days. So what do the workings of the system matter, if you want to suspend it?
