Didn't know SE made a WoW game tbh.....
I know they made a MMO around that time called Final Fantasy XI, & Beastmaster was a $hit show in that game as a group job.

it doesn't matter who makes it the reason people are saying it won't work is because they think since its a mmo it auto doesn't work on some things... also ffxi was way better of a mmo ;p and honestly no it wasn't beastmaster worked great in a group if you knew what you were doing lol....
also Lets be honest the only excuse that might be legit to say when you say "It wouldn't work" is when it comes to pet jobs the staff of this game unskilled when it comes to pets. They have completely no idea what they are doing and have no idea how to make a pet job correctly.
The fact is Pet jobs work great in partys and groups more so when unlike wow you don't have "taunt" ability. If you know what your doing when making them they work better than most other jobs in groups.
let me explain why I want beastmaster to be a limit job and how beast master could be use as way improve summoner and scholar and future jobs such as medic which was one my suggest. beast master allow the devs to play around with pet AI system which at future date they apply to summoner and scholar. it let them work improve it slowly and figure how make a better pets job which they apply to exist pet jobs like summoner and scholar. beast master won't be bound to dungeon and raids like blu which with blue mage the can play around with spell and see which are good spell and which are bad which also can allow them improve black mage and red mages. this why I see limit jobs as test bed for improve exist jobs and we the players will benfit for the devs play around on the limit jobs in long runs.
are they other jobs I like seen
ranger a hand weild crossbow job for example
or medic which my suggest who weild pistol and is mix between chemist and has dog the aid them in heal they party.
Heres the thing Pet jobs are not complicated on how to make them work How they are complete failures when it comes to pets is behond me...
People play pet based jobs to depend on the pet for everything as you being the background person...
Its not as hard as they make it all they have to do to fix the pet jobs is make all every single thing damage wise for summoner revole around the pet its really that simple.
Same goes as sch same thing just on healing
with you the player at most using command move sets- and pet buffs
THe main theme of having a pet is you being the background supporting your minion/minions and isssuing comands like a general or overlord(based on person) not you fighting along side your pet casting heavy magic and heavy range.
You seem to be confusing Beastmaster and Morpher here. Beastmasters could charm a monster for a single round, this wasn't making it a pet it was a one round mind control that was often used to force moves onto blu. The monster bank was a collab between Hunter and Morpher, hunter would capture beasts and put it in the Bank as a Zoo, then if you raised the monster in the Zoo enough, your Morpher could become that monster and share its stats and abilities. None of this implies a Pet based job, as I mentioned FFXI is the only interation which is focus'd on pet based gameplay, unless you count 10-2, where you only had one pet and it functioned like a normal job
the truth is it not easy as you say first there 3 different type of pet jobs
1st pet focus job were you pet is the focus everything is focus on pet and not the jobs
2nd hybrid pet job focus focus on both the pet and the jobs were both benfit for the pet jobs
2nd one is my pefrer type. see with summoner they could built so you first summon carbruncle as low lvl summon and have high summon to summon ifrit and put they attack with debuff a
3nd pet isn't important.
Um well the 2nd one hybrid doesn't work at all it just dumbs down both
but regardless that doesn't matter
they could easily put pet jobs into their own setting like they do with mele dps
for example
1: pet focus jobs Summoner/puppet master
2: Hybrid Pet jobs like scholar,Mch
3: Infusing Pet jobs things like a beastmaster could infuse themself with traits of their pet by dismissing them.
That doesn't make it hard it just makes it possible to make everyone happy by using all those diffrent pet systems based on the job/class.
Or they could be reasonable and not enforce any of the methods on us they could let us pick how it works for us using ffxi's merits system.

Eqs and dark age of camelots necromancers are pure pet users where the pet is buffed and commaned by you
In wows case You got death knight as your hybrid, you got demonology as your pure pet user/ you got afflication users where the pet isn't importent, you also got the fight along side your pet as equals which is the surivalist in wow.
