Having a large is by no means better because then you have more space and can't possibly fill it all unless you use only massive gaudy items.

At this point I would happily settle for "slots" that are used for the aetheryte and the mailbox, so we can win back two garden furnishing slots that are taken up by things that aren't exactly optional unless you're fortunate enough to, for example, have your fc house nearby.
What I mean by these slots is that they would behave like the slots used for the awning or chimney decorations. Though ideally the aetheryte and mailbox would retain the ability to be positioned anywhere. I know quite a lot of people who hide their aetheryte because it doesn't work with the aesthetic of their garden.
