Why do you all feel FFXIV is a sequel to FFXI?

We don't think it's a sequel. We just hoped it would be. All SE needed to do was use FFXI concepts, and tweak for accessibility, and add a buttload of content, like gambling houses, chocobo arena, pvp arena.

Iit is awesome how people think think that they speak for everyone... some even seem to speak for SE.

So therefore they have realized that if they revamp the system and convert to the original FF11-2 they would make more money.

LOl that's all we can do right now with this game.

Personally i will quit this game if i see it is heading to be a FFXI-2 or too much of a WOW copy. I came here looking for something fresh and different. Both FFXI and WOW are still around and if i wanted that kind of experience i would still playing those 2 games.

XI has a great story after playing XIV since the beta I sense no plot in this mess at all. The FEW cutscenes are nice but I have no clue what's going on. It's like following a b-rated soap where you can see only one 3min episode every 2 months.

lol no body cares... Besides there are only a small portion of who say that and only a small portion of you who don't want to see any drastic changes to make this game the way it should have been made. A LARGE number wanted this game to be revamped and recoded and a LARGE number will come back once it meets every MMO players expectations and no one will care about the Fanbois feelings.

If 60%+ wanted an FF11-2 and 40%+ didnt want an FF11-2 then they would favor the 60% because it is a bigger number. In business anyone would take the bigger number.

Now everyone who says BRING BACK FF11!!; I'm sure none of them mean literally copy paste FF11... Everyone of that larger % want the game to ORIGINATE from the many aspects and features that made FF11 a good/playable game for many years and then possibly twist those ideas to fit in FF14.

Basically building FF14 off FF11's foundation and constructing/twisting as time goes on thus making it still a Different game than FF11 AND much more enjoyable and time worth dedicating to. IF they did this then they would both satisfy the 60% AND 40% thus turning it into 100%....

I didn't think it was going to be a sequel or even THAT similar to FFXI, I just didn't expect it to be so awful compared to it.

I dont think is similar to ffxi at all.At least not to vanilla FFXI.not like i want ffxi , i dont got that much time to play anymore =P.
Right now i just want a reason to play and more group activities.Dont care if is similar to wow or ffxi or whatever , as long at it keeps me entertained for longer.Game is down and i dont miss it one bit . Kinda sad.
