This is much better, and far more comprehensive.
The shop should stay as far away from the actual game as possible.

I don't think OP's request was to put an actual cash shop in-game, they just want a boutique/dressing room option; so it could be an NPC that allows you to view items from the MogStation to try on but not actually purchase them (you'd have to go to the website for that).
I'm not against it, for the sole purpose of seeing if a gear suits you.
That being said, I usually find someone else with said gear, examine them, and 'try on' the gear they have if I'm interested. Might be a bit of a pain to find someone thought lol
Wait what? I buy things on day 1 because I like them. Buying a 9$ online item is not an achievement, so how would one even show off with that? You know, the world is always a mirror of yourself, so your perception that people only buy it to show off probably gives away more about you than it does about them :P
I do not trust any video game company to put anything related to a cash shop in a game and NOT make it a distracting, gaudy spectacle. You put something like a "MogStation Boutique" in the game, even if it doesn't start out horrible, it WILL turn into an unsightly spectacle with moogles blaring horns, a light from above shining down on it, and a choir of frikkin angels that sing anytime you get near it. It won't stop there. Then there will be a boutique right smack next to every major town's Aetherrite. Then it'll pop up when you log in.
No. Do not give a video company an inch on these matters. My alternative removes the cash shop as the focus, and has other uses. It just so happens to include MogStation things and will say you get them there, much like the music rolls.
In-Game Store isn't the only option for that ( would be great i must say, the best option imo ), but SQEX can allow us to use our Character model in Mogstation to check cosmetic stuff on them, i don't think it's a hard stuff to do.
You are essentially asking for a glamour catalogue which is unlikely to happen (at least no time soon), that's why we have the glamour dresser. A reason MogStation items are requested to be viewable in-game (at an NPC/menu etc) is because of the additional real cost applied to purchasing them. People like to try things on before buying (just like feel life) which is kinda fair, and it's not always easy to find others that actually own the item(s) as a method to try at the moment so a consistent alternative is preferable.
You are being dramatic about the rest of the stuff though. If enough players request something and they are happy to have their subscription going towards such things then they can give every inch they like.
