Same, only time I cuss is when I mess up big time and basically cuss at myself, like "Oh ffs I'm a dumb*ss" or something like that, to let my party know I'm ware that I messed up and probably more annoyed about it than they are lol

thankfully nowadays, the only people that hear me curse are my discord friends when the stupid birds in E2S give me their stupid damage down thanks to a server tick or stupid hitbox.

At this point, they should remove duty finder and only allow grouping with people in your FC, and even then you should only chat with them in discord so they can't report for saying anything.

To OP: Yeah I think it's ridiculous so many rules about what people consider to be profanity. What falls under the term profanity is subjective. Profanity has always been about one person telling another person what's okay and what's not okay according to the first person's feelings. Complete hogwash if you ask me. IMO, when you get online and begin interacting with other human beings you give up your right to earmuffs. Of course all of this goes back to freedom of speech versus private property on the internet... But you can really blame generation X for raising their crybaby kids to think that the world cares about their feelings, and now we have a generation of people who get butt-hurt when you go against their grain in any way, shape, or form.

What on earth are you talking about? This is the most ridiculous thing I've read in this thread, lol. Cussing is allowed on the internet, and the game's ESRB rating only has to do with the actual game content. It specifically says "online content not rated by ESRB". There is no "regulation" telling them to ban you for saying the F word.

Speaking also as an Australian on a US server, I use WTFast and get 166 ping.
To the JP servers I get 130 ping.

The undersea cables that connect us to Japan and the US aren't too different in length. The problem is Routing in most cases. My ISP takes me halfway round the world to get the servers, so my natural ping is 350~ and spikes constantly. With WTFast, there are 5 total nodes in the connection, with one being the source and one being the destination. Makes a hell of a difference.
Be nice to have sub 30 ping with an actual AU server though. Given the expense of hosting on here though … We'll likely never get one.

This Baby Boomer believes that there are a number of 'special snowflakes' who deem being polite in a social setting is not something they should strive for. Cussing like a sailor (which, having been one, is something I know intimately) in a game environment is just rude. One can ignore an F-bomb in voice chat, but there is a level of calculation in a chat window, given the fact that you have to actually think before typing the words.
I blame this readiness to be rude on the anonymity engendered by people who have never known a world without the Internet.

To be clear, I didn't raise my millennial-generation sons to believe that the world revolves around them, nor do other parents that I know. You've apparently bought into the mythos of a marketing category that conveniently gives you a box to put down people whose views you don't appreciate.

I understand what some of you are saying and I think I disagree a lil, like no, I don't think people are 'easily offended snowflakes' and no I don't think we should simply accept the unjust punishments for using the F word in a non-insulting sense and just say "THATS LIFE"

You can't use the excuse "oh but youngn's are playing the game it's a rating thing!" because people die in the MSQ, and quite graphicly in a few points. I think it's a little... silly that we can watch people crack their heads open and watch faces melt but we can't be profane, yaknow?
Not to mention people abusing the report system in some cases, over quite minor things

The thing is, we all agreed to be bound by the game's User Agreement which states: Profanity and Offensive Language. You may not use profanity or any language that a reasonable person would find offensive. The Game is for players aged 13 and older. You agree to behave accordingly.

You can argue all day that you feel it's reasonable to cuss but the game owners obviously think otherwise and we have agreed to play by their rules.
