Also because Blood Weapon was up 50% of the time and gave you 20% weaponskill haste, which made most combos go to 2.1-2.15 recast timer, which was awesome. Now Blood Weapon is boring and exists for free Edge of Shadow casts.

10%, but with some SKS in gear that went a long way.

I lament the loss of speed; imagine they rework Huton or Greased Lightning to no longer have Haste effects, the outrage would be calamitous.

Ah, yeah. Still, old BW basically made DRK as fast as MNK or NIN, and that was very refreshing on a tank. I miss the MP management and the speed, mostly.
