My WHM recovers approximately 200mp per tick in combat, which basically justifies my initial concerns about the change in max MP and piety. Roughly half a cure or Stone spell. Lucid Dreaming's potency was slashed, meaning it now takes us twice as long to recover the same amount of MP. Assize reduced from 10% mp recovery to 5%, giving us literally 500mp only. In any prolonged battle, we're fighting an uphill struggle to stay in the fight, which means you have to hope your team can deal with threats quickly, or with as little healing needed as possible. I ran the level 71 dungeon and found myself bereft of MP on no less than three different occasions. Granted we were all new players still struggling with boss mechanics, but I've been playing since the 1.0 days, and I can honestly say that MP management has never been as annoying as it is right now.
I can only imagine how much more difficult it would be for Astrologian and Scholar.
