Not impossible when you consider each world takes on different history and time frame.

Where one person maybe born in X era in X world another version of him or herself maybe born in Y era of Y world.

For example, there maybe a version of you in another reality of Earth that is born in a more futuristic era set thousands of years from our reality of Earth timeframe thus living completely different life from what you live and experience.

this would in return have your alternate reality counterpart be born with a different belief, experience, and interests in their life thus he or she may have your name and same appearance but have a completely different personality.

It definitely sounds like there's some time displacement going on between the Source and the First. There was a cave painting of Minfilia stopping the flood, and I think Alphinaud was the one who said they've been fighting the Sin Eaters for 100 years. I had guessed this anyway when they said the First had a legend about the warrior of darkness, since Arbert made it sound like the flood was recent back in HW, and that wouldn't be enough time for a legend to form. From the sound of things Arbert's story happened a long time ago on the First due to the different flow of time between our worlds.

I wonder what that shot of Minfilia being arrested or captured was all about?

Hydaelyn and Zodiark being primals actually isn't a big shock to me. I rather like it too.

I don't understand the surprise.

and they kind of self-prove that it's an unimportant detail by revealing it in a trailer, with (yet again) mr teacher who carefully explain it so that everyone understand.

Plus there is a second copy of the guy who accompanies you into town when you first start the game on the first. Looks like there will be copies of some people we know.

This brings up cosmology questions for sure.

Did Hydaelyn/Zodiark/Fusion manifest from the minds of a people that once existed but got wiped out or did they pop into existence by themselves, split up, cause the genesis of the physical world and then make contact with sapient species?

In all seriousness, let's not forget that teasers are a coin-toss. Was Arbert really the Warrior of Darkness? Yes and no. Is Solus lying? Is it merely one interpretation? Is it incidental in the big picture? Let's make sure we ask all the questions.

How? Cultures are entirely different, meaning how people interact are different, and thus who gets together and reproduces is entirely different. Everything that makes you you would be different; your counterpart wouldn't in any way be substantively the same. Like, you could just arbitrarily have counterparts, perhaps as Arbert mirrors the Warrior of Light, but it would just be an arbitrary linkage, not a true alternate version.
