Computer Help Please! My computer keeps crashing after installing new GPU.

I think one thing that is going on here is a failure of your motherboard.
If you couldn't have an RGB light with 600W PSU then there is something cheesy with it, maybe draining too much power for some reason, maybe it has too old capacitors which don't hold the voltage too well. If it would be the CPU overheating, then the system would just shut down itself, and if it would be the graphic card, your game would be still running and you would be able to hear the sounds from the game. It may be that motherboard is rusty somewhere or cracked, drains more power and in result overheats in one part or another. Probably also your GPU contributes to your problem, it may drain too much power out of PCIE slot and this could be really heavy on your motherboard power section.

Its a time to change motherboard, CPU and Memory to DDR4, my guess is your setup was never designed to have high power GPU in it and play games, its an office computer made into gaming which never ends well.
I would recommend for you to get i5-9400f with B365 motherboard or Ryzen 5 2600 with B450 motherboard.

I would recommend for you to get i5-9400f with B365 motherboard or Ryzen 5 2600 with B450 motherboard.

If that were true they'd get bsod instantly instead of screen shutting down.

though they could use a debugger but not sure if they know how to work it.

The best way to test it out, is to put different graphic card, load the game and see if it does anything.

Bsod may occur if there is a failure of the CPU or CPU power section. It may be just a motherboard power section rippling all around and not giving the constant voltages and power.
XFX Radeon 560 RX drains all its power from the PCIE slot, and it could drain up to 120 W peak and 100W sustained.

^this is exactly what I was gonna ask about.

Is the card getting sufficient power? GPUs are pretty power-hungry and the pcie slot they're put in matters, although it'd be impossible to have put it into one of the pciex1 slots, as your motherboard appears to only have a single pciex16 slot for a gpu.

Just on hardware side, I'll let you know that another reason for temp go high is the power supply not adequate, dropping voltage, and currents go rampage. Maybe not your case but who knows.

This is a great idea because in addition to helping you determine whether or not there are cooling problems in the first place, it will also pinpoint *where* they are. Is it your CPU that's overheating or your GPU? Some things to check when you hardware is overheating are:
* Fans that stopped running or aren't running fast enough
* The thermal paste between your heatsink and CPU may have degraded, in which case you should buy a higher quality paste and remount the cooler.

All that having been said, you might first want to update your GPU drivers. Sometimes the drivers that ship with it are defective, and updating them is much easier than tinkering with the hardware.

Sounds awfully similar to a problem I had with EVE a couple years back. Thought my Gcard was busted, but it turned out to be the Power Supply.

And when I say similar, I mean virtually identical, right down to the screen going random color blocks.
Initially replaced the 980Ti was using (it had a fan malfunction the previous year, repaired under warranty) thinking it was the Gcard failing again, but continued having the problem.
The PSU I was using was pretty old, but it was a 1250w, so I had more than enough wattage. The problem was simply that due to age and general breakdown, the PSU was fluctuating its supply to the PC.

So my recommendation is to try a new PSU.
Also, its possible to still do the free Windows10 upgrade if you can find the relevant links. Which I would recommend, since previous versions of Windows have had their support dumped by a lot of places.

This GPU of her drains power from the PCie slot and it could be motherboard that is not able to sustain her GPU power drain. PCie power section with FFXIV launched could get hot and mess up the currents and voltages that is going to the graphic card, it may eventually break the graphic card by doing so.
So i again recommend checking the game with a second graphic card, and consider changing Mobo + CPU all together because its pretty old.

Try an old graphics card and see if you're still having issues. When troubleshooting you start by checking the most obvious problem. Never buy random things to try and fix a solution you're not completely sure about.

I can't tell whether from your post whether or not you plugged in the additional power cable from the power supply. Most video cards nowadays need more power then can be provided from the slot its plugged into. http://cdn.agilitycms.com/xfx/MediaG...SC0132%201.jpg see the port at the top and rear of the card? That should have a cable from the power supply attached to it. Since you have some extra memory lying around might as well use it, it might not help specifically for FFXIV but it should improve the overall performance for other tasks.
