I'm sorry to hear that =/ Kicking a new player on their first play through of a dungeon is never cool unless they are purposely trying to sabotage the run or something.

Not sure what happened exactly and you have the right to play like you want in a way. However, keep also in mind that in a dungeon you are part of a group and not taking that into account by adapting and performing better can harm the other 3 players. The expected task of a damage dealer is to deal as much damage as possible. In all 4-players dungeons, it's rare for the lack of dps to be a big issue but it happens sometimes (most of the time because of people using low level weapons). It can make some dungeons painful if not impossible to complete with a leveling party.
Sometimes these post are often not because of how people played
it's what their responses was. So if you said something really mean to the
guy then that's why you got kicked. We just don't know the full story. ):
It doesn't matter to be a group kick, it can be for good or bad reason.
It is enough that it is 3 friends who decided to kick you without reason or for a good reason because you were really bad.
I meet so many bad team that I just leaves, blacklist and next. Basically, getting kicked is a service he gives you, you re-register right after, instead of taking 30 minutes of penalties.
I know it can be a long time low, but there are lots of things to do to pass the time.
If I had to create a post each time I left or got kicked because I met teams of idiot; I feel like I'm going to do a lot per day.
As long as, to the best of your knowledge, you're contributing your best. When it's not high-end content, it's whatever, and most people won't care. They expect the people in dungeons to not perform well because of reasons like it being their first time, low gear or not being hugely experienced beyond doing the story.
It only takes one person to care and try to nitpick you to ruin your day, when you're just trying to enjoy the story. They can offer advice of course, but it should be polite and the problem is that it usually isn't.
Unfortunately, the chances are that you'll have a few encounters with nitpickers who can't chill out during your time playing FFXIV. It's usually worse for tanks and healers though because their performance affects whether the party lives or dies and its pace.
If I was doing The Aery I wouldn't miss a DPS. They could disconnect and it would still be a clear. If they can't clear it then it is also partially on them, really.
We have just your side of the story, but if I was on their place, and I see you performing poorly, I'd give advice too, and if you don't want to improve, then I gladly vote kick you. The option is there for a reason. And I use it very often with people who doesn't want to listen.
Trusts are coming soon. Enough said.
You should keep your opinions to yourself. If you queue with duty finder you have a chance of joining players that won't play up to your apparently lofty standards. If you don't like it queue with your other elitist friends. I would report you in a half a second if you were in my group.
