Kill or Fix Crossworld Visiting Please before this game becomes WOW

My concern with the x-world hunts is there seems to be a race to get them done such that even if you are in a party and on the train from the start...you often arrive at a target already half dead. I don't even try to make it to an S rank x-world unless it is a SB one.

Perhaps instead of a 5 minute window...all S ranks are scaled to lvl cap. Spawners would need help to kill them and you would have more time to get to it if it cant be killed in 10 seconds.

You know, I used to play WoW and I've about had it with folks in this community acting like bad behavior somehow originated there or was exclusive to there. This game has some of the most toxic, most 'gid gud', most condescending folks I have ever seen in an mmo and they are all die hard XIV gamers.

If you want to be taken seriously, then seriously discuss the issues with the game and the community in terms that don't bash other games for no reason. WoW's community at its core is no better or worse than this one. In some ways it might be better because at least over there they don't argue about important things like parsers in a game completely designed around math and they don't cheer the developers on for coming up with solutions to perceived problems that punish players.

This community does.

Many times these days they are not even announcing on discord servers - but honestly we should not have to watch Discord to get Hunt notifications.

This "if you disagree with me you don't belong here" is far closer to the WoW mentality you eschew than anything you quoted. Don't become the problem. I believe what Gula was suggesting is that all you can do is vote with your wallet if it's causing you so many problems. Not "we as a community don't want you, so unsubscribe" but "if you want SE to listen, withholding your money is the only way."

Regarding the markets, you're having to get used to a buyer's market instead of a seller's market. That's not inherently wrong. And most people are not server hopping for anything lower than six figures.

Hunts... Well, SE doesn't feel hunts "belong" to anyone in particular. Not spawners, not home worlders, no one. It's for whoever gets there first to decide whether to take it or share it. A (visible) timer before they can be damaged might be nice, but in the end, we are subject to SE's vision for their game, and this is what they gave us.

As for server cultures changing... as a pre-invasion Matean, I sympathize, but there's nothing you can do but make a place for yourself to continue enjoying the game in the way you like. Surround yourself with friends. Band together, pool resources, buy out undercutters on other servers, camp those hunts harder than the wanderers and send out alerts in your server's hunt networks. Make the best of what you've been given.... There's nothing else to be done.

Sorry, as a non-WoW player, Hunts have been toxic since they were released. Has nothing to do with crossworld. First it was "early pullers", now it's "sniping" around hunt trains. Apparently a group of friends aren't allowed to come across a hunt randomly and kill it these days, as they "belong to the community".

As for markets, it was needed. Some items were selling for ridiculous amounts on some servers.

1. MB is one of the reasons why they added this system in the first place. A friend of mine had problems on their home server where food could cost 70k for piece NQ when it was 20k for HQ on mine. Or minion costs 2kk when it's 500k on mine. A lot of people tended to overprice their items on MB because they knew that buyers have no choice anyway so they can please their greed as much as they want. In long-time perspective cross-DC MB will balance this issue because sellers and buyers will know that they have options.
(fun tip: prices on EU servers MBs are 5-10x higher than prices on JP MBs normally. Can't say about NA)

2. Hunts need to be reworked as a system itself if we consider them as server content, especially 50 and 60 lvl since they are soloable if you are 70th lvl. It was addressed to the DevTeam few times. Still no changes for now, mainly because DevTeam do not consider it as "server content" in the first place. It never was a server content, technically (in contrast to Odin FATE, for example, whom you can't beat in solo even on 70th lvl).

3. As for community issues, well... don't really know what we can do here. Even with hunts - it was an issue there already long before Visit System. There are no any restrictions about killing them, they don't belong to some specific party. You found - you killed, you have full right for it. You can be a nice person and share info so other people will be able to kill it too, or you can kill it alone and while other players definitely will be angry about this (if they will find out at all that you killed the hunt, though), there is nothing what they can really do about this. Also there are parties of friends who running around and spawning S-ranks and it's really up to them to decide if they want share info about or not independently on being at Home/Visited server. Hunts are called "Hunts" not for nothing. You need find them by yourself. Killing hunts without waiting is not against rules because actually it is how they were designed to be. The whole thing about Hunt Linkshells and organized "rules" about it was a community initiative, not part of their original design.

So? If they see it first they have every right to attack it without waiting for anyone. Hunts are not boss FATEs. They are made to be "first come, first serve". They were never designed to be a server kill. But the community regulating that and allowing more to get a chance at it is a nice thing. But at the end of the day it's still player made regulations, which cannot be enforced on others nor can they get punished for not following it by GMs or SE.

Now the real issue that you probably don't know about is those using sniffer programs to know exactly when and where a hunt would spawn and beat you to it. That's what SE should look into fixing. The 5 min timer is just a band aid on that bigger underlying problem and would defeat the purpose of why they designed hunts.

I fail to see any of those as negative.

Then they need to make a Datacenter Marketboard to equalize the datacenter prices. No one should have to visit other servers or use a 3rd party website to see what an item is selling for in order to list it on there home servers. I agree some items where way over priced.
