Why? (Also, I'm an expert in bad ideas, I can provide you with some epic ones if you'd like. I even have a T-shirt to prove it)

1. Currently not needed.
2. Most ls will not apply to this (you can not make jp follow this as well as ls that just do not give a care and pick up groups)
3. only Wutai people think they need this.

5. Last but the most import one of all. No way to enforce Alliance rule. You can not punish a ls by not following the alliance.

Maybe you guys can make the Wutai alliance so you all can stay friends on the new server.

I don't know about yall. I assume that people play Final Fantasy for fun, but concede that everyone has different ideas about what that means. For some of us, sharing resources, camps, and information enhances our enjoyment of the game. The OPs suggestion would be a tool to facilitate that, nothing more. We wouldn't need a set of unenforceable rules, a leader, or even every LS on board. /em gets lost in thought for a moment....~~~~~~~

^^ If we have a Union LS or not, it really doesn't matter. Play the game how you want, with others or solo, cooperation or competition (or both), controller or keyboard, hardcore or casual, naked or in a full length ballgown for that matter. Those of us with similar intentions and ideas (best, worst, whatev) will find each other on Masamune I'm sure.

Again will not be used by all so no use at all. feel free to make it but like I said will not be used.

My point being we have a useable search function now. Easy way to find out if anyone is in the zone Union or not. Like I said make if you want. But I do not even think Half of the ls that are in service now will be active in 2 months and of that I only see maybe a hand full who are in service for 2.0.
