Still Excited for More Limited Jobs?

No please no. The entirety of blue mage was completed in less than a week with the only "hard" part being rng of skill learning. Updates to blue content I imagine will be exceptionally slow. Class is already old news and irrelevant.

I never want to see them waste time again with a "limited" job. That effort could of been used in aspect of the game to make actual content better.

We'll see what they do with it; but I get a feeling they'll be a bit more hesitant down the line seeing how BLU went over.

I quite like BLU and wouldn't mind more content like it.

If add in any more Carrier quests and just make "carrier" an official job, I'd be fine with it. It's just essentially a job that adds more story and character to the world, so it's not about "grinding" levels.

Yeah, BLU is interesting, it just needs an actual weapon so I can actually solo things I thought I would.
New jobs could be just as interesting, also with not needing to farm specific mobs perhaps they can be truly solo content.

I still don't understand why people think that a job has to be ruined for us to get minigames. It's not necessary and I don't want it. There is nothing wrong with normal minigames. The dance GATE worked without me being Dancer and Verminion doesn't require me to be a Puppetmaster.

I enjoy the idea of limited jobs. It lets them experiment with them more and create different styles of jobs that aren't required to fit into the very limited role system.

Frankly, with how the game is designed, addition of more standard jobs is just a hindrance. Balance issues crop up and more loot just goes to waste as more are added; and at the end of the day any new job added is just going to function nearly the same as their role peers with a slightly different coat of paint.

The one thing they need to do is completely segregate limited jobs from standard jobs in the future so that you have to come up with new methods to tackle content rather than just having unsync'd level 70s plow through it.

I wish they would undo the one they did. :(

BLU's exclusion, the things that it cannot do, are the takeaways of limited job implementation. Its forced participation into party content leaves it forced to accept handouts from the more complete and higher level jobs.


Being banished from the msq and kept out of progession only makes it more pointless in the face of vertical progressions's reliance on tomestones and raids.

I'm having a lot of fun with BLU. As long as they build on the concept I've no objections to more limited jobs down the road.
