Getting to lvl 50 with blue mage doesnt give you anything.They still ahve to do the dungeons learn all the spells.Most still arent even solable at lvl 50.There is no benefit people get from doing the xp switch except for spending less time grinding monsters.

The light switch gives you something towards relic weapon.Something you are suppsoed to grind to obtain.
They are 2 completly different things.

If it was having a huge negative efect on the game i'd be against it too but its not and people are just raging now on forums because devs arent gonna ban all those players that other salty blues were trying to get punished.

Like I said: They annihilate maps as half as fast as someone teaming up with another player. They just don't have friends.

Get addlo/regen -> spam fish insta cast on all mobs in area -> Miasma2/Assize or Wind2/Ruin2 right after pull -> repeat.

This is completely untrue, I got pushed out of a spot in North Thanalan right outside of Camp Bluefrog because every single enemy was killed as soon as it spawned by a Red Mage who was exploiting. He ran around both the left and right side of the maps instant one shotting every enemy before I could even tag them with so much as water cannon. I saw this occurring all over Mor Dhona too.

The only reason I was even able to get to 50 is because I found an area lv49 enemies level that is out of the way, but exactly 4 enemies spawn there and their respawn timer is low.

Every other area had these exploiters running around one shotting as soon as the mob spawned. A single exploiter can nuke around 30-40 enemies in under a minute by just running around on a red mage or archer. It's totally broken.

All I'm saying is, using the 'legal' way by teaming up with a friend you kill twice as many mobs (i.e. cover twice the area) before the mobs start to respawn.

Wait...you are using their statement about something they say would normally be considered an exploit, that being where people are job switching from 70s to BLU to receive the EXP due to server ticks to argue against level 70s killing mobs for BLUs leveling? I mean their statement doesnt even involve what your arguing against....

This is simply untrue, Blue Mage carnival is a super easy way to get seals and has rendered Hunts immaterial as the carnival has weekly challenge bonuses for stages, and this is just the pre-expansion release of the character. They have already said limits will be increased after expansion, which means both blue mage level cap and the type of rewards from carnival will increase.

I also suspect they will add a weekly duty specific for blue mages either in next expansion or before it.

The exploit ban idea is just an excuse to attempt "revenge" because someone took kills you thought were yours. You'd be spitting chips if a lvl 70 was bursting things down to farm crafting mats in an area you're leveling in, but you wouldn't be able to report that as there's not even a grey area. This whole exploit talk is extremely petty.

The only instant spells blue mage has have to be learned from primals.

Regardless 10 potency tag isnt going to help the blue mage deal with lv70 characters with instant aoe spells nuking groups of mobs

If the RDM was going that fast then he must not have been switching back to BLU to get experience. You do need to wait for the server tick to reward you the exp before you switch back, and yes you can switch back too fast. The situation you presented sounds much more lika a lv70 helping a BLU out, because the BLU just has to tag a bunch of things and then the 70 can just wipe the map clean.

Sound like some godly exploiters. I don't think I could kill 30-40 enemies a minute just regularly on RDM (not packed tightly enough anywhere really and gcd is a thing), let alone when between every kill I'd have to stop for a second to let the xp register.

People are using macros to switch back and forth incredibly fast. I thought at first they were botting but it seems to be a macro setup.

The only reason I even knew they were switching is because I would see the chat log say they leveled up blue mage when they clearly are different class. The flash of light between changes rarely even triggers on them.
