How you guys find inspiration for Miqo'te names?

It isn't consistent among voice actors. I've heard a few say 'yah', though a lot of them turn it into a vowel like 'Ysayle' (the 'ish' pronunciation).

From what Fern/Koji has said, they coach the voice actors on pronunciation as best they can but not everyone gets it right. /shrug

I have been wanting to share this story for a while! It never comes up, and I never really go out of my way to provide it, so thanks for posting this thread. Please indulge me a little story time.

I made a tabletop rpg character named Zeca das Fadas, and decided to playfully restyle it. Turned out to be lore friendly so I embraced it. In Portuguese, "Zeca" is a nickname for "Jose" and "das fadas" means "of the fairies."

I love both sun and moon themes, so I decided on Keeper, but gave him heterochromia since that is lucky in Seeker culture. I figured his father was Seeker and later decided he and M'Naago could be cousins since I liked her and the M tribe. When my own father passed I made it official in game as a memorial.

Since the 'a makes him the first son of Keeper Zeca Daphadas, his full name, M'Zeca'a Dasphadas means "M Tribe Member, First Son of Joseph of the Fairies."
