Well if I did I'd be playing that instead, wouldn't I?
Warhammer Online, but that MMO is now dead (thanks EA & Mythic)
Personally I enjoy WoW a lot more than 14, but I've got far more attachment to this game.
Wildstar's housing system is the best I've seen in an MMO to date. It was so delightfully flexible and everybody had access to it after a certain early milestone.
WoW also has blood elves which are by far my favourite playable race in terms of lore, aesthetics and nuance.
Everquest > FFXIV > WoW > ESO > Tera > Neverwinter. EQ is by far my most favorite MMO I have played. Something about the playable races, graphics, and content caught my attention. FFXIV is close second as the graphics are outstanding, but something else is lackluster and I can't figure out what exactly.
I think ESO is actually really bad. Or at least it goes against everything I want in an MMO, and I love TES games so much. Also I think everyone saying XI is better are only seeing it with rose colored nostalgia glasses, it's not a good game, not a user friendly game, it's ugly and a chore to play.
I miss Archeage, respectively what Archeage could have become.
The Game was right broken from the start. Because it was scripted from the beginning, it was super prone for hacks and cheats any kind. Of course Korean developer couldn't understand this, as in Korea you have to create an account with your identitiy card, which makes cheating very risky per se. But for the western release there was this client that was super easy to manipulate, and that made it basically go the wrong way from the start.
However sometimes during the day I just miss to collect stuff from my farm, put it in my truck and move slooowly all the way to a faraway city to gather some gold for my finished goods, doing this while chating with guildmates and friends. This was so strangely peacefull and satisfying. It was something new. There have been other good MMOs out there, certainly, but this strange sensation of evening activitys that was so peacefullness and honest simple - that's what I miss the most.
I can only remember one other game, that gave me the same feeling, and that was Ragnarok Online. Could be, that this is sentimental because I was quite young when I played it, but Ragnarok Online hat this same feeling, this same sensation when playing it. It was not the game but the atmosphere. I logged in to chat with guildmates and friends, we formed a group and grinded somewhere or just were sitting around Prontera and try to sell our goods. It was not that effecitvness-driven, all Games are today. We didn't play it with maximising our efforts per minute in our minds, but to have a great time. It's a feeling you can't get anywhere these days. Community has changed.
