Please increase the roulette EXP bonus for Castrum Meridianum

When the unskippable cutscenes were introduced, people said the rewards should be higher to make it worthwhile.

SE listened to that, increased the rewards, and are now being accused of bribing people to run it?

The phrase “damned if they do, damned if they don’t” comes to mind...

This is the second time they are increasing it after the cutscene change though.

Don't know about you but if people are complaining the rewards aren't worth it then they are probably there for the rewards.

TBH roulettes other than the one for the weekly cap tome in general always seemed like they were bribing people to do things they wouldn't otherwise do just like the first two relics, WT, tank mounts and the garo pvp event.

I think people forget.. and I'm pretty sure the whole purpose of msq roulette is to make sure new players are able to even progress their storys, imagine if they removed steps of faith from the trials roulette.
And no, most level 50 sprouts won't ask a random level 70 or mentor to help them clear this stuff infact.. during my low level days I found max levelled players to be intimidating especially the 1's with Crowns next to their name because I don't want to bother them with none level 70 stuff (newbie knowledge)

I don't think changing the rewards alongside introducing the cutscene change counts as changing it "after" though. Of course they raised the compensation because they were making a change that would take more of players' time! And since then, players have told them that the reward isn't enough, so they've responded to that.

The "damned if you do, damned if you don't" reasoning only applies if one accepts the premise that SE's ill-conceived 'fix' for the MSQ content is an irreversible necessity. I suspect many people don't accept that premise, and I count myself among them.

SE needs to fix the issue properly. Eliminate the cutscenes, or introduce NPC companions and shift the dungeons to solo instances. I really don't care which; either solution works. But they need to stop doubling-down on a mistake dating back to ARR's original release date.

I did it once and stopped running them the cut scene thing went overboard people asking for same thing on towers if that happens I'll say good bye to those as well or just quit all together cause if that became the norm of the game.

Irony is that the more people stop running CM/Prae because of people saying "If you don't like it, don't do it" - the higher those queue times will go. They were already pretty bad before the unskippable cutscenes... far as I've heard, they've gotten even worse and just continue to be getting ridiculous the longer things stay like this.

But I suppose if people and SE want queue times to utterly plummet for that content (content which completely gates people from progressing the MSQ and thus progressing the game entirely... unless you buy jump potions and skip all of it), then they can have at it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To each their own I guess. I have a different take on it since the players complaining about the rewards wouldn't do it otherwise and still won't since it isn't worth the cutscene time. Just like OP.

They've messed with the rewards for MSQ other times (due to newbies complaining about queue times) increasing the reward before they even put in the non cutscene skipping which is ironically what made people start doing it and rushing through it in the first place making this "newbies left behind" problem worse.

People didn't want to do these dungeons even before the unskippable cutscenes until SE threw us carrots on a stick. That in itself should have signaled to them that the better solution would be reworking those two into solo instances with npc companions. But they take the lazy way out, as is typical of the company nowadays - and now newbies are paying for it even worse than before, in the form of insane queue times.

Uh, no. I can do an Expert Roulette in twelve minutes and walk away with upwards of 140 Creation and 90 Mendacity. Poetics are only useful if you have other jobs to level and need gear or are doing relics. Regardless, the whole roulette exists for new players to enjoy the story. You have plenty more ways to cap and level if you prefer something else.
