All mounts should be able to fly

You know, in the past, I'd have been against it.
Land mounts running through the air is stupid, doesn't make any sense, is just a lazy unimaginative way of doing it, etc.

Frankly though, hard to care these days.

Would be nice if they had restricted a lot of the mounts that do currently fly to ground(panda/bears/lions/panthers/t-rex to name a few), and one to be 100% swimming only(Syldra), but since they kind of went the way of "let it fly!", why not go for all of them being able to fly now?

I may be wrong but I thought there was talk at some point that the ponies from ARR Extreme primals would be able to fly, but it hasn't happened yet as far as I can tell. That would be a fairly simple one to fix, either make it where they fly like the war steeds or use the skeleton from the nightmare pegasus (although I could see some people getting upset over that since you know, PoTD pegasus is pretty darn rare and special!)

Agreed. And to the ones dwfending the "Lore", keep it for your self, if you don't feel t-rex is able to fly, then only walk on ground with him and don't fly, simple enough. All mounts ahould be able to fly, we collected the aether currents for it, and we should be rewarded properly.

Make everything able to fly, make everything able to swim. The lore is already shattered in the name of goofiness for FFXIV anyway.

One thing that'd be nice that could help resolve the immersion issue, though I've no idea how hard it'd be to implement, is an option to view others' Mounts - regardless of which they're using - as a generic Chocobo. I'd use it all the time. Beyond the ridiculousness of certain Mounts, many of them are also so large (here's looking at you, Yol) that they obnoxiously clutter my screen and egregiously clip through everything in sight. Please, let me just overlay them with a standard chocobo if I want to.

It's pretty much certain that all future mounts will be able to fly. otherwise what would be the point of using them? Pre-HW mounts don't fly because flying did not exist back then. But for all future mounts there is no reason to. WoW players have this same argument about why every mount also needs to be a flying mount without realizing why having half be ground only and the other half being flying is terrible. No one would ever use those except for before you got flying and after that it's just to add to the collection.

Agreed with the others you mentioned though and let's not forget flying chocobos and korpokkur and freaking floating plesiosaur.

Well Flying Chocobo is normal, Black Chocobo was the original Flying mount from Final Fantasy In general... We did a quest to make other Chocobo fly tho lol

That's one thing that cracks me up with the Fat Chocobo, swapping the Gysahl herb for a piece of cake makes them fly out of excitement, lmao!
