To be fair the "mother of all grinds" can be done in a few days if you actually put effort into it.

Ya, I'm aware. I'm on my third Anemos weapon with several dyable pieces of gear by now. And at least two rooms' worth of Sharlyan furniture. Admittedly I have to wonder if we're not looking at it already nerfed, in a sense, because of how long delayed it was. I suspect the next steps will be much more time consuming.
You know, ever since Poetics I thought that the weekly cap was arbitrary and kinda low. I would see decent players get their roulettes done early in the new week, or else in the last day or two as they spam the same two or three dungeons over and over, with there being a good two or three days in between where I wanted to claw my eyes out with the type of experiences you find in the beloved Duty Finder topic. Now, with Eureka, capping is too damn easy. It just makes me look at the cap and ask the same question every so often, despite knowing the answer: "Why?"
I don't think that's the case - Compare the effort to get the first weapon to the effort for the luminous crystals + 10 (unsync'd) dungeons. The weapon is currently at the tomestone phase, not the raid weapon phase. The big grind should come later.
The main difference is that the step essentially nerfs itself, because you don't start have to start your elemental level over for every weapon. That makes it easier to get additional weapons. For the Anima steps, SE had to do that manually (although being able to work on multiple stages at once did make it easier over time as well).
As for the topic, well... I can't comment. I don't play Eureka >_>
Some ppl are idd saying that yoshida said it was intentionally made to be faster because the real kicker will come next
I love how easy it is to cap mendacity, I can slack my roulettes and just spend an evening or 2 hopping on the NM train.
Everytime Pazuzu pops and you complete it you get 40 mendacity. If you memorize the windows and do Pazuzu twice a day you will cap within the week without having to do a single roulette.
