Chocobo not getting xp from beast man quests

My best guess is that maybe other people are in the area and helping you kill the mobs, so it doesn't count as your kill? Maybe it dies before the bird manages to 'tag' it. Something along those lines

Can confirm, I misremembered, bird not getting exp. They tick for the weekly challenges tho, that's why I keep the birb out

Chocobos don't get XP of from beast man quest if the quest is adjusted to your current level in some areas. However they will get xp if any random mob is killed. What they get is kill mob count towards weekly challenge. IF choco is maxed and haven't used onion to break limit it will also not gain XP.

As far I remember, theys also don't count in the Chocobo agenda.

For getting exp for the Chocobo, the enemies should be 10 levels lower than your level. 10 levels lower than you counts for the agenda.

If beast tribes mobs give exp generally that I don't know but if they are 10 levels lower than you, they'll count for the agenda (Gnath (lvlsync 60), Vanu (lvlsync 60), Kojin and Ananta).

A good way to hit the counts for agenda is to kill mobs (if level 70) around Castrum Oriens or participate at Fates with many mobs (since you get leveled down).
Mob exp is to low to level your Chocobo since level 4. The best ways are the weekly Agenda with a 5% exp for 20 enemies and 10% for 100 and the stables with 1% (or was it 2%?) through feeding.

And mentioned by others: at level 10 you'll need and onion for the next one.
