Sure, FFXIV may give 10x more inventory space than other mmos...

But, in FFXIV, you can have 26x as many classes on a single character.

One solution would be to recognize that equipments in this game are useless from a design standpoint, together with levels and stats, and the PvE should be updated like PvP : removing levels, equipments, and normalization of stats. Nothing will be lost.
And then, equipments would just be appearance. No need for complicated system like prisms, dressers, things you can only do in Inn or whatever. Just equip whatever you want to show.

I've been playing Tera online, and their glamour system is pretty awesome. There is an entire different slot section for Costumes, and you just drop the costume pieces on the slots..and it stays. Very simple.

When I logged in for a moment..this glamour chest thing seems so..unnecessary? Have to go to an inn, then chose..plates, what? I gave up and just kept the current thing I was wearing, I am not going back to an inn anytime I want to change my outfit. It feels very...1.0 (not 1.x) ish, where its a lot of steps for no reason. Just simplify it and make it so we have a costume tab like Tera.

The only other subscription MMO I've played allows the player to have over 10 000 inventory slots on one server without paying any dollars. Except you never even need that much space because the game has a proper glamour log and doesn't reuse crafting materials from previous expansions.

Im running with all battle jobs that are at least 60 even pre SB I had no issues. I also fish and have to deal with bait in my inventory... still no issues. I also craft and gather on all other jobs and again I am not having issues. Its not that hard to dedicate inventory space for your needs. I have one retainer that holds all of my glamour. Another dedicated for gathering and the third dedicated to crafting. My inventory is for MISC items that I use for in the moment stuff like fishing or specific crafts..ect. You can have up to 4+ extra retainers. That is 6+ retainers full of inventory space.

Stop hoarding... and take an hour to organize your stuff.

XIs system is good : wear gear you want to use look of > go in menu and click lock style > change gear

I just pointed out a datapoint about ffxiv compared to other games.

Wait, what? You admit having to rent more inventory space, and then you defend the game and educate others on how to manage their items? Eh...

It depends what you craft and what you are doing to craft. Some items use items from all 3 expansions and need to multistep, even worse if your trying build airships and so forth. FFXIV may give a lot of inventory, but it also uses way more. Has nothing to do with hording, unless your tossing out that 50k+ mat overflows after you make that one thing you are trying to make?? Some people have problems, some people don't. Some people do not glam at all, some people collect gear for all jobs, as in ilevel 320+ where all those jobs has its own gearset (outside the plate system) to use the plate system glams on crafting and gathering jobs. everyone plays different, and it is not a hording issue
