Iuno, I still feel the bigger problem was more in the bottlenecking of the server. I wouldn't have cared if all of them had bought them and I'd had the /chance/ to pick one up, but I mean even logging on the moment the servers came up threw me into a 1300 queue for a server of houses that was bought up in 2 minutes...

So Shirogane directly translated means "white metal" which in turn means silver.

Platinum can be and is referred to at times as shirogane but I would say that is most likely because platinum wasn't really common or something people knew about back in the day and it just adopted the name from silver due to it's color. I'm pretty sure it's more commonly referred to in it's more Western name palatina. -
