they already posted a time line with what your getting for your money. basically it's less then a full blown dungeon in any mmo that comes out. even pvp based mmo's have dungeons where there is 12bosses all in one dungeon. you not even getting that. you getting 2 dungeons(unknown if they are both rank 50?) and a few burning circle summoner fights. that is really all in real content. ....ffxi's mini expansions had more content then that and they were just 10bucks to buy, and probably a few pennies from my pocket to help make. ... your paying to keep playing on there servers, your paying for a few trinkets and a storyline that anyone who cares will just youtube and watch later. ...really your just paying... for there development and there mistakes. lets not delude ourselves. people keep seeing final fantasy when they should be seeing a hole bunch of fat old greedy dudes with mansions and a large bill for hookers and drugs and many divorces. :)
Is a post like this really necessary? What don't you understand about the idea that they have to first rebuild the fundamentals of the game before they can move onto content?
FFXI add-ons came well into the games maturity, literally years after the fundamentals in place. By setting unrealistic expectations about what should be coming each patch you set yourself up for disappointment. Or perhaps you're just a sadist?
Newsflash: this game is well in the red financially speaking. It will continue to be for some time into the foreseeable future, barring an extremely successful PS3 release. Whether or not its warranted is not what I'm debating. But don't "delude" yourself into thinking that your monthly fee directly goes into the pockets of some fatcat. It goes towards the company, and this project, and a small, negligible percentage of that might defuse down to shareholders (and perhaps executives, if they own shares).
That roadmap is strictly for 2.0, not for 1.X. Notice things like Linkshell, Battle, Leves, Character Motion, AI, NPCs, Login System and whatnot are on there. Things that exist in 1.X.Quote:
FINAL FANTASY XIV - Simplified Roadmap for Version 2.0 Development (2011-2013)
derp to you is all i have left to say, your points go to irrelevants to what i stated. my statements are very necessary it's how the 90% of the player base that left and is leaving feel. it's a reminder to the fishbowl of fans that are left that your tool bags that make excuses up for people to trample all over you.
if they are in red ast's from there mistakes, we can go back and forth all day long and my opinions won't change about the good the bad and the ugly of what happen to ffxiv. who cares ...
it's still the only facts, they launched early, they charging early, the game wasn't and won't be ready. the wear when and the why...well you can try to defend it all you want. but you can't, you can just ignore it or make excuses for it. or swim around the turd in the pool. i for one don't mind picking it up and tossing it at there faces.
also if this was any other mmo but final fantasy this convo wouldn't even be happening ...the game would of died out already. so look at all the other mmo's that have done what they have done, that is the answer right there to how people feel about it. this game is just getting a second chance no other has really gotten cause of it's name and large fan base and fat pockets.... fat pockets.
