Seriously I think so much will be addressed by 2.0 that if ppl would be willing to let amnesia step in after 2.0 launches all will be well.
However, I know this will most likely not be the case.

Too many people want to treat SE like the girlfriend that cheated on her boyfriend when she was 16 but has been faithful to her husband for 40 years like a slut because of an earlier mistake.

Why do all the sandboxers come to FFXIV thinking it will accommodate their tastes? Sandbox will not come. If anything FFXIV will be more like WoW or SWTOR. If you are looking for SWG, I don't think you will find it here.

I enjoyed your labeling me as a sandboxer haha. I always felt that the crafting system in this game, i.e. at least at one point in time basically every time in the game was combined to make some other item into (pointless) iterations ad nauseum gave some small amount of sandboxy feeling to crafting and items. Throw in the ability to build a house (not instanced.. worst case make an island where we put them) some furniture (hello carpenter), give us the ability to build a boat, and so on, and wala, you have sandboxpark.

People that don't want to craft don't have to. People that don't want to build boats don't have to. People that don't want to build a house don't have to. Guilds that don't want to build guild halls and have siege war fare, don't have to.

Thats the point. Sandboxpark. They would still produce the pve content. The dungeons. The raids (this game doesn't have a legitimate raid at this point in time, no darkhold is not a raid) etc..

sandboxpark.

I lust for ArcheAge.. I hope FFXIV 2.0 has sandboxpark elements.

agree with it all except the game controller lol, i hate keyboard play even in mmo's. i dont' want to be a typist to play a game. lol ty. ohh and i'll take ffxi-2 over any other mmo copy but yeah don't need a ffxi-2.

Hope you're right about that one. There definitely needs to be more theme park in this sandbox.

I love how people jump right into these threads to say how dumb they are. Nothing dumber than going out of your way to read something you think is pointless or dumb and then commenting on it EVERTIME.
