MSQ won't progress, GM won't listen

Try abandoning the quest and accept it again.

Have you tried to go back to the Lochs or the Royal Menagerie special area (not the Duty) to see if an update is done?

I read someone had the same issue and it resolved itself by zoning back.

Hm, how can I get back to the Royal Menagerie special area? I was teleported there after completion of the Ala Mhigo dungeon. I haven't tried this.

Yeah I was just about to say that sadly you cannot abandon main scenario quests.

How exactly are you accessing the trial battle? Are you skipping any cutscenes? Are you accessing it via Duty Finder or Party Finder (and if the later, are you doing it via a cross-world party?) It's possible something you did the first time around prevented the trial as flagging 'completed' with the quest and has now broken it.

Either way, post this using SE's recommended template in the Bug Reports section, as it's possible something has broken with your quest that only the development team can fix. Hopefully you can get this problem fixed.

I completed right at the time Tonberry's server failed. So I think the game has flagged it as completed but, as the server failed, the quest didn't progress. My guess it secondary completion doesn't do anything because the game already thinks it's completed.

I've posted in the Bug Reports section now, rather than the technical support section.

I'm completing using Duty Finder.

I confess I do not know where the entry is (since I never left the area until I beat the trial) but I would say at the end of the bridge to the main gate of Ala Mhigo, where the dungeon icon is.

I believe as long as the quest is active there's a gatekeeper npc somewhere close to the dungeon entry. Sadly that will be gone once Msq concludes so after that you won't be able to go back to that special area.

Oh, that's mean bug. Not only for trying to clear your quest log again and again, but also to prevent you from accessing end game. I hope you get it fixed soon.
