PvP Changes... Can we also get XP for playing?

Well, in fairness: Everything you can find in this game, other things will provide you better.
You like stories? Movies, Books and Single-Player games are far better at that.
You like raiding? WoW, Wildstar, Monster Hunter... lots of games out there that can scratch your itch better.
Chocobo Racing? Just play Mario Kart.
PvP? League of Legends, Counter-Strike, etc etc. You can also join a local soccer club or something.
Crafting/Gathering? There are dedicated survival and crafting games for that. And you can also just start a workshop IRL.
Socializing? There are chats, social media etc.

Why people play MMOs as such is quite a mystery - I suppose they're the red mages of games: Jack of all trades, master of none.

Would like to see the ability to level through PvP!

One suggestion is that perhaps you can buy a very potent EXP tool via PvP tokens - it's not really leveling through PvP but it does get around the issue of playing a different skill set between the two (it means you still have to play the other, but just a lot less of it). Just make sure that the EXP tool (scroll or whatever) on top of the PvE content = amazing way to level, otherwise it's just a silly idea lol.

So like a scroll maybe that gives you like 10-15% more exp for an hour? Something like that? I'd be okay with that as well, haha. Just SOMETHING I'm sure other like myself have been sitting at capped wolf marks for months, need something to spend them on!

i think PvP Roulette giving XP once a day is okay. i think XP scrolls from Wolf Marks is okay too.

with the changes that are coming, i don't like the idea of people just doing PvP and getting XP for participating in PvP matches.

This is something done in both GW2 and WoW and really helps the leveling up process with some variety. Also it won't have any impact on people leveling up and not knowing proper play of their classes. Right now its PotD. Before it was Fates. In fact this could add incentive to put stuff in the PvP vendors since Wolf Marks get obsolete very fast.

I don't care for PvP but this should happen.

Lock the XP to the completion of the match, similar to PotD. Not only this, I also think the game should always have full itemization on pair with PvE in PvP zones.

Replicate the tome gearup structure in PvP. Give weekly caps, and give a series of items in weekly lockouts to augment the gear slowly, but always make sure there is iLvL parity with tome gear.

Right now, even if I cared for PvP, I would feel the lure of the PvE grind as a more efficient use of my time because PvP rewards are mostly glamour. Not sure if at some point PvP rewards were considered equally good, I have not been playing that long, I just know there is no way for me to get 270 pvp gear (or am I wrong?)

My comment was on topic you just focused on something that clearly is the opposite of your opinion - the answer is YES, of course you should get XP for PvP, but make it just as ***** as FATES. Is that better? No side show should ever give better XP than the main attraction.

True, they are jack of all trades... and I have yet to see a single current day MMO not have terrible PvP and this game is no exception which is why I said I wish they had never added it.

Well, it could at least be an addition to the Frontline Roulette.
