Well, one could consider 2011 was when FFXIV as we know it started when Yoshi took over from Tanaka and the direction of the game changed fundamentally from September 2010, beginning in 2011.

Your questitions are way to open - "How do you feel about PvE?" - really? I dont want to be rude or anything, but what do you expect as an answer here? It can range from "Good" to an elaborate essay on why and and analysis on every aspect of the game.
If you really want to make proper use of the data, you should probably break it down and put different contents (Dungeons, Trials, Raids, Savage, EX-Primals, open world content, Quests etc. etc. etc.) to the test here.

I also hope that you are aware that a lot of technical issues are on the players side, so I hope that you and the people who will actually take that survey are taking that into consideration before anyone goes on ranting about how much the servers suck (I'm not saying they're not having problems once in a while - I just want to remind everyone that not all technical issues are SEs fault)

All in all that survey looked more like an invititation to vent or to write basically anything.

I agree with Vidu here. I've filled in the survey but i too had the feeling that the focus of the survey was leaning a bit too much of the "negative"-side or a bit too broad. It would've been better to split up the question into 3 separate ones, like "Which of the following PvE content do you like the most?" followed by "Which of the following PvE content do you dislike the most" "Describe what you like / dislike about it". It helps narrowing down the answer.

It was tough writing an answer to most of the questions, while not going overboard and write an entire essay about it. (^_^; ) Another thing would be, is that the answer to some of the questions might not due to the game, but the people you play with. They play a significant part in your player experience (both positive as well as negative), but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's because of the game.

The "Did you experience a lot of technical issues with the game?" is also a question that doesn't really belong in a player survey, since a player can have a different view of what's a "technical issue" or a feature that doesn't work to their taste or what they would expect of it. Also, when would you consider something "a lot"? Would that be something like "several times a day", "on a regular basis", "once every patch", etc? Finally, would that issue something that SE has to fix (bug) or something that is being cause by the PC/Console you've installed the game on (like not enough disk space for an update, resulting in an error message)?

I really didn't intend for the survey to come across negatively, as those who know me know that I love the game and am always promoting it. Perhaps I tried to be too neutral and overcompensated. The text answers are very valuable to me for future articles, and those who wished to elaborate on specific sections, have. Maybe it looks oddly structured because I have tried to shape it around article subjects :/.

Re technical: this section is important to me as I've had several people complain/been put off for "<insert reason>". My aim is to find ways around the problems. Obviously, yes, there are user error ones but this will become clear from the info :).

Thank you again for the best wishes with the survey! I really hope good comes out of it, and if not, at least 3 more people will have Moogle hats^^! I hadn't anticipated so many replies, I thought I would get maybe 10.. So I may end up with an accidental thesis..
