This weeks article is all about data collection.. and moogle caps, of course!

If you could spare some time to share your views and opinions by filling out the online form I would very much appreciate it. Thank you so much to those who have and will! This data will become the research for a set of articles looking at various aspects of the games. As a small incentive there will be 3 Moogle Caps to those who provide valid usernames/lodestone links within the form.

If by mentioning 2011 you talking about 1.0 release that was released in 2010.

Don't take this the wrong way but this survey had some pretty vague questions and some lacked positive/negative counterparts. I'm sure its unintentional-at least I hope it is-but it almost seemed to veer towards just looking for the bad in the game.

Which would make more sense if it was labeled as a Ff14 improvement survey.

I normally like taking FFXIV-related surveys and I always do when I see one here... but I have to agree with Senor here I'm afraid and I'm going to leave this one out.
Your questitions are way to open - "How do you feel about PvE?" - really? I dont want to be rude or anything, but what do you expect as an answer here? It can range from "Good" to an elaborate essay on why and and analysis on every aspect of the game.
If you really want to make proper use of the data, you should probably break it down and put different contents (Dungeons, Trials, Raids, Savage, EX-Primals, open world content, Quests etc. etc. etc.) to the test here.

I also hope that you are aware that a lot of technical issues are on the players side, so I hope that you and the people who will actually take that survey are taking that into consideration before anyone goes on ranting about how much the servers suck (I'm not saying they're not having problems once in a while - I just want to remind everyone that not all technical issues are SEs fault)

All in all that survey looked more like an invititation to vent or to write basically anything.

Firstly, please forgive the mistake (I was far too 'sloupppy!'). I will amend it straight away, thank you!



Secondly, I really appreciate the feedback even if it's not 'omg this is wonderful'. It helps me learn and understand things so that I can hopefully do better in the future. As far as the answers go, I had hoped players wouldn't mind giving a more generalised view of their experiences as this is not a statistics based study. This is my error for not elaborating further within the text. I'd tried to include so much, without making it too long and yet wanted to hear what people felt was important about the game under those areas, from their perspective. I hope I'm making sense! Oh, and I'm well aware of the 'user end' technical problems, I've come across these complaints many times^^.

I love this game to pieces, my aim is to show others how wonderful it can be, but just not from my own viewpoint.

Thanks again everyone! And huge thanks to those who did persevere through it!

I would like to enter and participate but while creating an account my script alert warned me the information I was sending wasn't secure.

Hey!

If you're having trouble with the site don't worry at all (although I will let the site admin know, just write what you picked in the username and add a note on the form that it didn't activate - I had the same problem ).

"To be entered into the giveaway you must include either your character name and server or Lodestone URL on your completed form."

You can still participate even if you don't have an Anook/MMOGames user name^^. This just allows me to verify that they aren't spam entries etc - I've amended the first field to include character name also
