Forcing players to pay to keep housing is unfair.

Nothing saying you can't take a break, All I hear is "i don't want to pay my sub" from most people that say that line about not being able to take a break. Yes some people have hard times such as the person below

Is the house really that important that that can't pay $12 a month to keep it cause sounds like you plan on coming back and not leaving indefinitely.

As far as I can tell from reading the first post, I think the OP has developed some attachment to his house, which isn't healthy in my opinion.

I understand the time invested you put in to acquire it, but unless you realize that the digital house you have that you bought with digital currency you made playing the game is just what it is, digital code, it will keep holding you back from doing other things other than playing the game.

No offense, but I could apply that excuse to any scenario. Should my static hold off progression because I'm "in the hospital dying?" Does it suck real life abruptly halts our video game fun? Absolutely. We just have to deal with it.

OP you're probably not gonna get much sympathy here, since there are a lot of bitter people about the housing situation. It's dumb but what are you going to do, at least you get some of your gil back.

Honestly they did you a favor, now you don't have to pay forever to prop up a garbage housing system.

If you really want one again try to get one when they release the new housing area if you are going to play SB.

I've.. been back for a while now since that happened o.O. Was impossible for me to even log in (despite having an active subscription). I think you should of quoted the OP instead of me. I'm not the one crying, qq'n or anything else about the current housing system, also never complained about the sub fee. I think its completely fine.

You have to login to the house correct? So if you log out in the house and don't login for another 100 days but still have an active subscription. Do you still have the house when you come back?

No it wasn't a reply at you I was using your post to show OP that a person has lost their house due to life issues and they moved on from it.

You have to physically walk in the house ONCE every 44 days.. meaning you have to go through the TERRIBLE process of you know logging in, selecting your character, and walking in the front door. I know, i know, it's something that is very hard to do every 44 days.

Btw, again, the demo time is 45 days for housing. Did everyone forget this? o.O

P.S. go buy an apartment. That never auto demolishes, and there are a ton!

You have to manually enter the house to turn the demolition off. As far as I know when you logout in your house the instance closes and that's why you end up outside when you log back in.

I agree, it should not be necessary if only SE had done the things seriously from the begining .
The housing system sucks, people can't have a house and are forced to pay sub to keep the one they managed to get (starting to think that it's done on purpose when I see how SE are not handling certain issues....)only because they won't admite they made a mistake with the actual system.

In a perfect world, they should be enought houses for everyone and they should not be linked to your sub but in our world, you have no choice but to pay, sorry m8
