The attitudes I witness never fail to astound me. Apologise and repent for fates and having a 1% chance of a weapon dropping with a 1% chance of having stats that aren't terrible? It's ridiculous, and if I were Yoshi-P I'd have said a lot more than "calm down."

I think this is a big step in the right direction for diadem. They could add other things in there too like side missions, treasure hunting quests that have you defeat certain boss type enemies, etc.

I appreciate them redoing Diadem, but I still think it needs some more work before people will be overall satisfied with it

Lol. Actually enjoying it there, but I understand One Tamriel changed/fixed a lot. That aside, if ESO doesn't do it for me, I'll go back to GW2. I can't bring myself to log into FF XIV. Every time I think about it, I think of all the time, gil and effort utterly and completely wasted on my anima. Wherever I end up, it won't be FF XIV unless Yoshi-P admits the i280s were a slap in the face to relic and anima owners, and rectifies it.

You're insane

While the weapon was abit of a low blow, the rarity allows to forgive it. I'm happy they saw the flaws, and took it out for adjustments. I would of been extremely happy if it came back without those flaws, however... their way of fixing it is to turn it into yet another FATE fest. This isn't a good fix, it's a lazy fix that just has us doing what they try to make us do continuously already.

I don't have an Anima. I learned my lesson from the Zeta days, that and I've had to simplify my play style due to adulting. I get where the emotion comes from that anima wielders feel offended that the 280 weapons were released so soon after, but what do you expect? Everyone worked hard for the Zeta, and that was replaced by random market board weapons. The Zeta was nerfed almost every patch leading up to the final days of 2.0 and people were angry then. A few years back, Yoshi P. mentioned that Relics are designed for those that love the grind, but they may not always be the highest ilvl. He did say, he wanted everyone to have access to be able to be relevant with current content. Has that changed since the early days? Source: Some random post on the forums he made years ago, you look it up. All our ilvls, BIS, time grinding, tomes, what have you is in vain because it's getting replaced and rapidly. (Which I hate btw, but I accepted it as part of this game) So when Yoshi P. say's, "Calm down", I reaaalllyyy don't think that is too much to ask at this point in the patch cycle.

The sole reason I made an anima was to have a BiS weapon from completion until SB (just like the relic was BiS until HW). The i280s invalidated that just nine days after completion. As such I consider all the time, effort and gil dropped into the weapon completely wasted. No, I don't care about the minion or the glam (the AST weapon isn't all that impressive). I had one goal with the anima and SE killed it just after completion.

But I'll stop here and bow out. I don't want to derail this thread further. I said my piece on the other thread.

I honestly just cannot believe they replaced a broken system with FATES which is something people have been complaining about since day 1 and always groan about whenever they are implemented for any sort of content, from relics to seasonal events. They just cannot help themselves by shoving FATEs down our throats relentlessly no matter how much the playerbase expresses a huge disliking for them.

Everyone is asking for less reliance and less FATEs and then they do stuff like this where about 95% of non-gathering activity is FATEs. No wonder ppl just afk in there...

They're just making Diadem less straightforward for players so they wont go to one area and grind for an hour. Now they'll do fates around 1 area till a boss appears, run toward it, kill it, and go back to fate train and grind some more. (emergency fate or whatever *IF* it pops)
