MSQ SPOILERS!!! Question

I don't know why, but I thought it was the coming of Omega, myself. Then I remembered that Omega's buried underground and is likely NOT considered a Primal. The only thing I can think of that'd be worse than a Primal (aside from Bahamut) would be something like Necron from the end of Final Fantasy 9.

Actually, I think I read somewhere that Garuda is actually based on distorted legends of the Allagan researcher in charge of creating the Iksalions (who later became the Ixal)? Something in the Lore book, maybe? It's entirely possible that EVERY Primal has some real, historical figure behind it, but most have been lost to myth and legend.

We have direct evidence that Shiva and Bahamut bear little resemblance to their "real" selves, and Moggle Mog is likely in a similar boat. Until given other evidence, it's logical to assume that all primals work the same way; they are constructs created from the prayers of their followers who may have no resemblance to their original selves (if there even WAS an original self to begin with).

Personally, I don't think that any summoning of Rhalgr can be assumed to be the "real" Rhalgr, unless the game makes it explicit.

There's no precedence for one of the twelve becoming a primal, so it's entirely possible that it will become Rhalgr. Though, if the summoned primal doesn't look like a wizened mage with a bronze staff, then it definitely isn't the real Rhalgr.

Garuda was actually the allagan general who was in charge. The Iksalions were genetically programmed to be very loyal to their command structure so its not surprising that the figure they mistakenly interpret their former military leader as their deity. That's also why Garuda has a human like appearance.

Primals aren't ever the real manifestation of anything. They are literally gods born out of belief. Koji has elaborated on this in interview before. If Ifrit was summoned by a completely different group who's belief on what Ifrit was like was different too the Ifrit summoned would take the form of the image and nature of the different group. It all comes down to what the summo

ners believe. We get a taste of this in 3.4 when we see titan that behaves very different to its usual behaviour due to the source of its summoning.

The primal in the glowy sky ball is almost certainly Rhalgr. In stills of the seal forming you can see a pair of human like feet in the middle of all the light.

Rhalgr the Destroyer: it's the the Ala Mhigan deity and what the dying Mhigan resistance guys were probably praying to. Just to add more it almost happened more than once in the Little Ala Mhigo story.

What your point really boils down to is: Does Rhalgr exist? If Rhalgr (and the rest of the Twelve) actually exist, then the thing that is summoned is not Rhalgr, but a distorted approximation of him. if Rhalgr doesn't exist in some form, then this primal is the "real" Rhalgr because that's the only Rhalgr that will ever be in the world.

More or less,
I should have said a bit more there I think.
If I understand the game and the lore right then Primals can be created, BUT when created once they will go back into the aether if destroyed and wait here for their next summon.
So what I meant is what if the Twelve always were Primals? They were summoned once, did their thing, walked back into the aether and the People remembered these powerfull beeings and started worshipping them and now Rhalgr gets resummoned?

It's probably Rhalgr. What's worrying if it is Rhalgr we'll likely see people attempting to summon others of the twelve.

need to recheck the trailer, because i thought there was a clip of alphinaud mentioning omega as an old relic or something. so,,,part 2? 3,55
