How long does this usually last?
Interesting. I did a tracert and it doesn't seem to be a Level 3 issue at least for me?
But I only have these problems when Level 3 does.Quote:

The only thing that pisses me off is the silence from SE.
Managed to get into Balmung just now after repeated attempts over about 30 minutes.
EDIT:
And there it goes seconds later for a lobby error. RIP
Well now all I'm getting is a Lobby error when I hit start. Least before I was able to get to the character selection menu. Did they fix it or make it worse?
*This North America issue is happening way to often. Twice in four days.
i was going ham in Potd on floor 8 and was about to level up :( dc
hey, so they posted an update, and it doesn't just use the blanket phrase of "various ISPs" but actually points out that it's the upstream provider. Nice.
This is my original traceroute when I first starting having issues an hour-ish/2 hours ago:
Needless to say, I've never seen so many asterisks before! And it usually doesn't take me 18 hops to reach Cactuar--I can get there in 12-13 usually. And I've never seen any latency as high as 503 ms. Highest I see is usually 150-200ms around Level3's servers.Quote:

It is worth noting, I think, that others have mentioned that there is a lot of snow up in Montreal, which could be leading to these issues.I believe that at least one of the IPs in your traceroute (xe-8-3-0.mtl10.ip4.gtt.net [141.136.105.74]) is also located in Montreal.Actually that IP is coming up as being in France! The eff. Hmm.
So this could be weather-related, and not Level3 just being Level3. I will do another traceroute myself to see what it looks like now (still can't connect, however....2002's everywhere).
AGAIN!? I was about to dive in and.... slammed w/ 5006 error lobby server connection. I just started tracert...
How long ago did it again?
