Your take on Alts

Making it possible to send money and/or items through mail is a commonly exploited tool of gold sellers/scammers/etc in most MMO's. It also ends up being the source of many a dup'ing exploit. So cutting it out saves them a lot of work on many fronts. And I doubt it'd add enough value to enough customers to justify it in general, let alone once you consider opportunity costs.

And FWIW, as a month-long player with no class to 50 yet, I can't even begin to conceive of wanting an alt, way too much to do once still!

I can understand what your saying and ive played about three months leveling is pretty easy , tanks to fifty dps to 50 , but I get what your sayin so why not allow the transfer of items then. I can understand the gil but why not mail directly of items . Simply because lets say Someone has three alts and they want to give all of them the 18 dollar mount thats a single account. If like you said that noone cares about alts then why isnt ever mount just account wide as is , why do they use alts in there data on how populated the game is. Im simply stating that its alot of taking of money but not even a single thing that makes having an alt easier.

Nobody has argued against paying for it. We already ARE paying extra for it, and I for one am perfectly satisfied with that. Nor have I heard from anyone who isn't. But given the fact that we are indeed paying extra for it, it's not unreasonable to expect some really basic QOL features geared towards it. Why should we need another player to take care of passing stuff to our alts on our behalf? We should be able to do that ourselves, without wasting our friends' time or worse taking the chance that they aren't as good of a friend as we thought and might steal the stuff. Or why can't we invite our own alts to join an FC or linkshell we want for all of them?

Actually, it wouldn't affect gold sellers at all, since they generally have multiple accounts anyway. Anyone with multiple accounts can already pass stuff between their alts. It's only people with just a single account who are affected by this, and that's generally regular players, not gold sellers.

Except that leveling more than one job to cap means a massive FATE/dungeon/leve grind as there are insufficient quests to do it more than once .. indeed, even going for something like "Seeker of Truth" is a grind due to lack of quest XP .. and unlike FFXI you can't change allegiance and play the other city-state story missions.

Sucks that noone cares for this issue I know there are several thosand players with alts and it would just be nice to give them items and money imo. Simply because you are paying extra for them.

I honestly get distracted too much and end up making multiple alts just because I want to use a certain name or emote like a maniac with certain appearances. Sure re-doing the main quest line and class/job quests is a pain, but I'm still having fun as a whole.

Im really not sure why people are so agaisnt this u literally have to make alts in every other mmo almost so I dont understand the big deal and se is aware that we make them otherwise they wouldnt sell stuff per account

I have 5 alts and a main character. My main has every class 60 and my alts have only 1 job to 60. It helps with crafting/weekly lockouts a lot as well as keeping my inventories free of clutter, but I can see how that can be difficult for newer players, especially since the "bug" doesn't work anymore, where you could add your own alts to your friends list. All you can do at the moment would be creating an FC, than invite your alts to it. However if you plan on making new alts in the future and you have no friend to help you invite that alt, than there's no way for you of getting this new alt added. I can see both sides of the coin, but I do agree that since we are paying more a month, we should have at least some better options.

I have four I play my main the most but I just dont understand at all when u pay extra for slots, when in mog station if u want a mount its per account , Im not understanding why this hasnt been brought to se attention.
