Story-wise, what will happen to our Anima in 4.0?

This might actually happen, but it would be in the Anima's likeness.

Actually, having a special minion/mount reward for those that did the 3.0 relics would be a nice reward for when we start the 4.0 ones.

Whether it's a special mammet tied to each weapon or the Anima gains the strength to separate from it, I would enjoy that!

We'll probably get an Anima minion color-coded to our job or something, thereby making it so that it can exist outside of our current weapon, or maybe that it can inhabit later weapons (such as the 4.0 Relic).

It will become cold and distant, stay out late and not return our calls. But that's kids for you; unless they need them they want their parents to remain invisible :(

Which would explain why it's becoming outdated - it's not going to take you in and work for you when you get older!
