Except they do. Both gives 10% int down, and Dragon Kick only benefits monk, which is not a raid utility in that case.

Blunt resistance down is only for Monks? Really?
If a group goes PLD/WAR (like mine!) MNKs are the favored melee because of Dragon Kick. If you roll with a DRK, NIN/DRG is more viable.
This thread makes me think we'll see a blunt user for one of the 3 new jobs in 4.0
One thing to note, a monk handling int down means more SE combos for DRK to boost their dps a little bit, similar to slashing debuff overlap from War/Nin boosting one of those two when the other handles the utility. Ofc, still not ideal to pair DRK and MNK unless for int down on multiple targets like balls in a6s or the bosses in a1s
While technically true the difference is nowhere near as big or noticeable as WAR + NIN, dark arts spamming isn't sustainable on DRK and if you don't break it up with another combo every now and again you'll run out of mp fast. So regardless of if there's a MNK in the party, a DRK will still use delirium as their strongest non-dark arts combo and vice versa a MNK will still use dragon kick for blunt down regardless of if there's a DRK.
So with DRK + MNK you'll gain maybe an extra souleater you wouldn't have used without the MNK at random intervals. While with WAR + NIN, dancing edge and storm's eye have exactly the same effect, WAR keeps storm's eye up anyway while NIN can replace a dancing edge with an aeolian edge for an extra 60 potency every 20 seconds, for no cost.
