More likely it would follow Dissidia Duodecium and just have FFXIV only represented by Cosmos's side like FFXI was (only having two Cosmos characters - Shantotto and Prishe) - personally I would have thought Derplander would have made a better choice for FFXIV representative but, there you are ;).Quote:

Y'shtola is actually the most popular of the Scion partners, since sassy catgirls resonate in Japan.
She was 14's representative in Theatrhythm, too, so SE is pushing her as a sort of mascot. Derplander is supposed to be us, so Y'shtola, who is an established character, makes more sense to use.

They should have made the default based off the sprite and have an alternate amano outfit (like they did with a lot of characters)
