I've read the yokai watch event, and this is what I took from it.

How I see it:

normal medals: 100% drop if you finish a FATE with gold or silver rating
minions: buy them with the normal medals
special medals for the weapons: not 100% drop from FATEs if you do them with a yo-kai minion
event duration: around 2 months

Namely every single one that doesn't involve crafters or relies on RNG or waiting hours for a specific FATE.

We whine about it but do it because we want the reward. Doesn't mean we enjoy or like the idea.

In addition, the amount of Legendary Medals needed for weapons increase as you collect them.
