Please tell me how stating my current experience with the game and then stating briefly how to make it more interesting as a whole (would most likely benefit all players) is a way for me trying to cry to the devs to make me feel special. I'm not asking for any personal bonus, I'm asking for a change to the game as a whole in order to add to its longevity. That being said, In response to Furiea I don't play FFXIV much anymore BECAUSE of these issues. I have a life, I go out every weekend, I stay in shape. PvP is a bit of a mess atm still fun though, but a response such as "Get the mounts or something" falls into the category of the superficial status this game is slipping into. Anyway I understand that many people don't WANT to play the game extensively, but that doesn't mean that they should cause the game to become shallow.

I must agree though that we need more then these cookie cutter stats that only buff your main attack stat or have very menial reduction on the GCD.

Don't even have stats to buff up your defense more.

Well RNG drops aren't what I'm referring to. That's just bad luck but stuff like that isn't what needs to be changed. the cookie cutter stats however are exactly what I want changed

Patch 3.3 has been a big disappointment to me but i'm not expecting it to make me play more since it's not a patch that brings a new Savage so i was already expecting being bored.

Things that would make this game better for me:

- No region locked content.
- Less Gated content.
- More than one hardcore end-game raid.
- 4 Players hardcore end-game content.
- Swimming, underwater combat
- Exploration, currently we have sightseeing, there should be a feature where we should fish all fish in the map, mine and harvest every different item on the nodes, maybe chocobo treasure hunts, and when we complete all of these in a map we get a nice reward including gil, upon completing on all maps we would get nicer rewards.
- Achievement Points rewards, why are there Achievement points if there's no purpose to them?
- Daily World Bosses that would require a ton more players than Odin FATE does, could reward set pieces that would enhance specific stats/skills depending on the World Boss, could also reward Gil, i don't like that to make gil i have to craft.

Well when you look at the stats most classes are focusing on one stat because only one main stat effectively matters. Can you reasonably increase elemental resistance? No. Would it matter? No. Status Immunity? No. Evasion? No. Defense outside of base gear? No. Secondaries that boost attack? Yes.

It's pretty streamlined as opposed to other FF games and RPG's in general.

And right there is the answer to your question.

When the vast majority of your audience prefers certain content, it would be completely idiotic not to cater towards them. Dedicated raiders make up a very small amount of the overall playerbase, yet what you're requesting would necessitate the bulk of resources they have available per patch cycle. Wildstar attempted this and now sits on life support because hardcore raiders simply aren't a large enough demographic to support any game.

Translation: "I want more content that only 5% of the server population can do and exclude jobs that cannot do optimal damage."

Have to agree with this.

As soon as a MMO focuses heavily on raiding then all that matters is whats optimal and what isn't. It does nothing to help the game at all... Just look at WoW as a lesson if you arn't specced optimally (or even using the "best" spec for your class) then you a shunned from pretty much everything. The community as a whole becomes extremely unwelcoming and toxic for anyone looking to get started.

All this for a small portion of the community? Its a big no from me tyvm.

As for the community we have at the moment yes we have our faults but it's actually one of the better ones I've come across. We are all just one big whiny family that gets on each others nerves once in a while xD

That's because it does have way more depth. It has 14 years of content lol. Just because it's old, doesn't mean it isn't worth your time if it offers what you want. That'd be like looking back at FFVI or Chrono Trigger or other classic Square Soft games (Mario RPG included), and it's devalued just because of its age lol. XI is still a full-fledged game and one that is different from XIV. Perhaps XI, which is still being updated (now) monthly, is more to your liking than XIV in general. I still sub to it and play lol.

You don't have to put yourself in a position that you have to love everything from SE, nor does SE have to subject themselves to creating things that you like but they don't care to do. It's okay to not like this game anymore. While I do agree vehemently about itemization change and so on, it's not a big deal to not enjoy the game anymore. It happens and we move on. If you do, then feel free to come on back if you miss it or things change. These days, there's so many other games to play that you're going to find something else that actually does cater to your wants. I never cared much for free-build/survival type of games like Minecraft, but I absolutely love Subnautica, despite it still being an Early Access title.

Just like people cried about maid outfit and it happened but people took it for "Free" while jp players had to pay for it. Just an example.
