His point isn't much of one when those tomes get exponentially easier to get once they're unlocked.
Plus, the gear's also typically made much cheaper. Currency doesn't stay capped forever.

Whats wrong with using crafted gear or Alex face roll gear? Theres other options out there, granted they may not be the best but its something.
Id love for other options that weren't tome related. In another game I am currently playing you can get gear in so many different ways and its all up to the player. Craft the gear, buy the gear using a minigame, farm world bosses for loot bundles, daily boss scrolls, buy from the AH. Instead of just resorting to upping the tome cap they should work on more exciting ways to get gear.
