Should add "fracture is a dps loss and TP loss even for war*" to the list as well.

Perhaps parry could end up having a damage reflect function, where a % of the damage returns to the enemy. Think Shock Spikes from 1.0-
The problem with parry is that it has diminishing returns and is only really effective against white damage/ normal attacks when the tank is being attacked by a lot of foes.
As itemization is built around stats having point costs, parry takes away from more useful stats like Accuracy and Determination. Futhermore parry has little value for PLD due to shield block.
It needs change.

I have never once anywhere ever seen that Parry (or any other stat in FFXIV) had diminishing returns. Where are you getting that?
Parry is already deleted from the game, because it's so useless people actively avoid it when determining best in slot gear.
When people say "delete this", they aren't saying "remove interesting functionality and dumb down this game". They are saying "this is total garbage and it annoys me to even look at it because it just pretends to add complexity and options to the game but doesn't".
They should just make it to where the Parry value not only increases the Parry chance, but the amount of damage reduction as well.
I prefer to be called Talathion, but honestly those comments don't sound like me. I actually put time in my posts and make them easy to understand and read. I don't sound or write like a baffoon.
Parry is:
Not Affected by Crit.
Not Affected by Str.
Not Affected by Vit.
Cannot Block Magic.
Thus, inferior to all other stats.
If Parry:
Critical Parry = x2 Reduction in damage.
Strength increased magic damage reduction from parries.
Vitality increased physical damage reduction from parries.
Magic can be parried, but at 10% rather then 20%.
It would be a good stat. I would absolutely love it, and it would be more equal in power to other stats.
My bad forgot to add that it was about war.
If the parry rate increment per point of parry is fixed, then it will have diminishing return as you stack more, since the block power is fixed, unlike crit which boosts the crit dmg as well as crit rate.
